8 Volumes (Completed)

Based on a LN (currently with 19V), the manga only really covers two story arc in its 8 volumes.
The story itself has an interesting premise, but it plays out in a rather droll manner. The plot unfolds in a rather "and then" sort of manner. The best part of the story are the character relationship interactions. However they are rather sparse. The action isn't done that well. The politics don't have much setup/payoff. The art also feels a bit sub-par.
Overall: 2/5 - A droll mediocre manga. Read something else.
I was reading and really looking forward to more chapters and comes the ending? I was like wtf!? It seems like the artist just ended it in a rush or something cos nothing makes sense. It was good until the bs ending. Sad 🙁
Not a very realistic start to the story and a kind of apathetic MC is not really someone I look forward to reading about. As others say, the story is not very coherent, I'm guessing the translation plays a big role in that but the plot itself is kind of weak and the characters actions are the same, take for example the maid who is out to punish the future king, her hitting him infront of the Duke and priestesses for example. In general, chars just don't feel real at all.
And very soon the plot leads to an immediate harem for no reason, and that was it for me, I certainly missed the harem tag but still, there are ways to go about it.
Doubt I'll find the will to keep reading this in the future.
This manga is so EPIC-ly bad, that i got my previous comment "moderated" by . But my hatred so deep, i return here with more family friendly comment. This is the first ever manga in decades of reading manga that made me hate the translator, writer, and the artist drawing it. I thought after reading all those badly written manga, i'm already immune. Nope. Avoid at all cost.
the MC is nothing but a puppet from what i can see. i have read the first 9 chapters and the MC does nothing but go along with what others want him to do. and it annoy's the sh*t out of me. it was nothing but a waste of my time.

The author managed to create a ridiculous MC that doesn't make any sense in any way (its motivations, character, et cetera), with an even more ridiculous harem trope.
Just don't waste your time with this.
The setting is odd, with a ww2 high fantasy background. The story is generic and I honestly cant any of the characters names. That being said, its definitely a fun read. the magic and dragons leave me forgetting that this is a world with giant guns, tanks and even giant fighting robots. I found myself laughing at how ridiculous this manga is, but in a good way. In the end, Its kind of like eating junk food, its good but doesn't really have any substance behind it.
EDIT 2019: Oh wow holy shit that ending. This series obviously wasn't doing so well so the mangaka/author decided to rush a bullshit ending so they won't get the stigma of a series being axed by the publisher. Damn was is absolutely shitty.
Shallow characters, MC get's powers with little effort and equally use little effort to utilize said power. Any fight scenes he's involved in vs another strong opponent ends with literally two or three swings of their swords; barely damaging each other before some bs background event happens which causes them to break off the fight before it even started.
Also the pace of this story is somehow both moving too fast yet not enough. I mean you go through so many major events but only seeing glimpses of each before moving to the next one. Basically like reading only the headline of a news article then skipping the actual content. Also, for a monthly manga you don't get anywhere near enough pages of good content. Average being a measly 20 pages per month.
If only the LN get's translated...

I liked the MC. He's smart and cool and awesome!!! The point is, the MC is great- at least according to my taste...
but what I did not like was the pacing. The pacing was crap.
It happens most of the time with novel based manga. Although I did not read the novel, I could see that they cut off a lot off parts.
The reincarnated MC became a king and decided to protect the kingdom with his life...just like that?
I get that he is a 'white' and they are different from normal people... but still isn't too quickly? Basically, the biggest con in the manga is the pacing.
BUT, it is still a good read.if not for the pacing I would have rate it 11/10. I enjoyed reading this very much. Although I must it... not everyone would like this but please give it a try.
