I heard from people that this manga was a bit over the top concerning the reactions of severly ill Children, but i did still read it and the people who criticised it are wrong according to me. This manga is wonderful and very accurate in their descrition in how children behave in a ward for long-time patients. I myself was in that situation about 30 years ago when i spent almost a year at a ward for chronically ill Children and my memories don't contradict this manga.
Sorrry for my bad English 🙂
I noticed that manga likes to portray suicidal characters or those who underwent trauma and were in a ward with other kids bonding with everyone there. As if being with other people will automatically "cure" the person's problem.
In here, within the first chapter Meguru is already happy as if her problem (which could be minor to other people) didn't exist. I certainly don't believe that can happen. Frogs in the room, fooling around, that doesn't happen in the hospital. It's ridiculous and I feel this MINIMIZES SUICIDAL TENDENCIES by making it so lighthearted it's a joke.
