The first 20 chapters are just fillers. The first time i read it, i skimmed the beginning of the story really fast. And the second time that i read, man it's quite boring to be honest. Our leads didn't seem to be very likeable at first. FL is your average angry girl who appears to be stupid now and then. (Like how she acts when she lost her job- i feel like you can do better if you want to get your job back, but our girl goes vent on Twitter and everything gets out of hand. While we're at this, somehow she and Joon magically met when she was protesting at his company.) Also, ML appears to be quite an unlikeable jerk at the first.
But it gets really good afterwards. ML gets cuter every new chapter and FL is a girl boss (yes, despite her being dumb now and then, my girl is brave and knows when to protect her people) They have their flaws, but their chemistry is out of this world. I feel swoon every time they're together. There are drama here and there, but the story wraps up pretty fine except i'm feel like it's such a shame for ML's career.
he lost most of his fan but he's got the chance to start over. Yet the story doesn't show if Woo Joon ever got a chance to explain why he has a fake name and birthday. Personally, i think that having fake names or birthdays are not that big of a crime compare to many big crimes out there. And imo it'd be so so much more satisfying if the public eyes could have a positive view towards all of this 'I married my anti-fan' show—because the truth is that they're actually very wholesome 🥺 Anyway, this is such a nice read, and i also really want to read the novel. It helps me feel more empathize towards people that work in the entertainment industry out there. They're exploited real bad. About the ending: ! geez wish i could see their wedding and kids and like, daily life, and if Geunyeong have a good job after all of this .
In general, this story is a slow burn romance we need. The pacing is just perfect and i love how they gradually understand and care for each other (maybe firstly platonically-as person with person). Also, if you're into the 'enemies-to-lovers' trope, this is a perfect classic. 😭
I think the pacing is good. He’s an idol so I like that he doesn’t fall for her right away. I think the female lead is too angry at the male lead, she’s not very understanding
(Although he definitely wasn’t nice in the beginning)
I would love to read more because I feel like the good part is coming! I’m on chapter 25 now.
