She repeated it TWICE
Basically this manga is one good arc (pretty much how much the anime adapt) and then the author repeats pretty much the same thing twice. This manga is literally 2x longer than it needs to be. Its not necessarily a bad thing repeating a good formula (looking at you one piece). But even one piece brings change. Like this is just the same thing over and over again.
I mean it wasn't a masterpiece to start. But unless you are a hardcore harem lover or have nothing else to read this can kill your time sure.
Though the plot dragged on in the last third, it wasn't tedious to read, also thanks to the comedic instances. The harem isn't to an extent where it's annoying and there is an obvious end-game, so for anyone who likes harems where the male MC plays with all the females, this is not for you. The story-telling was quite enjoyable and the (side-)characters were strong each on their own.
I did enjoy it, i wouldn’t read it twice unless I have nothing else to read. I’m happy it ended, enjoyed the first part the other part was just like meh...
First quarter of the series is a pretty unique mystery set up, middle parts are a mix of her previous Yankee-kun series with life consoling/problem solving, last part is kinda a weak final drama that does try to tie up a lot of loose ends. Over all series is fun and funny. Lots of antics and jokes, and some recurring themes as well. Characters, even newly introduced ones late in the series are fairly fleshed out I would say and all pretty likable.(as far as from reader to character goes) Theres a serious over abundance of fanservice and bl fanservice in the series. Ending left something to be desired
Standard move away, come back, reconcile, get married
Again a fun ride and maybe because I'm a bit older now but these longer series take a bit out of me... like I've lost something, but not bad just really bittersweet.
Edit: The art kinda has a stronger fairy-tail look to it than yankee kun oddly enough(she worked under Mashima)

Don't read this if you're a hardcore harem lover
I only love the half part of this manga. Thankfully I only read thus far otherwise I'll get some heavy damage afterward.
Well, I just love the harem part in this manga. With this kind ending at which MC choose one girl is the same as throwing everything to the gutter.

The story almost follow same recipe as YM with a sprinkle of magic, but soon it is clear that it is far superior than YM, as there's another clear goal instead of save everyone. Also unlike YM the filler is fun to read and really serve as a break to more complicated story, the joke also more fun, and unlike YM it also doesn't abuse the same cliche or scenario over and over, so I never got bored when reading, the author also goes above and beyond with the ending, cutting loose all the string, making it a very satisfying ending.
If you like YM then make sure you read this.
Now it's just dragging it's heels with new characters that are just amalgamations of the older characters. Even the anime ended at the best possible point with chapter 90. It was the perfectly natural ending. Sadly the mangaka has a history of dragging her heels and giving an unsatisfactory conclusion if her past works indicate anything.

When the series first started it didn't grab me and fresh off Y&M(disappointed at the ending), I wasn't giving it a chance. It seemed like they went on forever before getting to the point about other witches(I stopped before it got that far). I finally watched the anime and then picked up on the manga. I love how the story perfectly balanced several genres at once (romance, school life, supernatural, and even the harem elements). The plethora of new characters could come off annoying in most series but here they all have something to give to the story, are all interesting and not just an exercise in character design. Harem stories usually bore me but here I feel like it's not the main draw
and the two leads are firmly a couple with great chemistry and affection . I feel like the creator took some of the best elements from Y&M and made up for mistakes in that series and created something really great here.
Binge read this over the weekend and caught up from the start. In my opinion, the mangaka has outdone herself with this story and improved the mistakes from her previous work, Yankee to Megane-chan. A few great memorable characters and a decent ing cast.
Continuity and plot progression is masterfully done, atypical for shounen ecchi harem comedies. Great premise with an even better development. A good part of this story is hilarious with a few touching moments. Newer characters have yet to be fleshed out, but the main cast have great personality. The premise drew in readers itching for something different, while the story and the especially the characters made them stay. One of the best I have read in some time.
If this is evidence of the author's evolution, the mangaka has only gotten better: storytelling is more crisp. Characters more realistic (despite most being stereotypes) in of interactions in relationships.
Edit: This story is getting a little a little complicated with the next set of witches, but the author manages to keep the plot moving smoothly using Yamada's straightforwardness.
