Very Chuunibyou

Rating: 7.0  / 10.0

This is one of those novels where the main character is almost always the most powerful person (or close enough) in the room. Basically the standard power fantasy type novel. The writing is simplistic and it has quite a lot of tropes. The naming of everything is very Chuunibyou though, but not just in style, but also in the lack of imagination. Everything is dragon demon chi, dragon demon king, dragon demon way, dragon demon sword, dragon demon blah blah. Soon enough, you will be sick of the dragon demons' inability to name things not after themselves.

All in all, I give it slightly above average marks for not glorifying slavery (that this is an achievement is a sad state of affairs).

This is a Korean novel, a novel that's some sort of a fusion between fantasy, martial arts and magic.

So far the MC was pretty awesome. I love the fact that he is not a spineless pervert or an arrogant piece of shit. True, he is confident in his strength, but he doesn't feel the urge to demonstrate his superiority at each corner. He's also pretty amusing, his interactions with the other characters are ver funny.

Moreover, he's not just a brute: while fighting he often uses trickery or tries to rile up his opponents to make them lose their focus and kill them more easily. It's pretty funny to read how he tries to piss his opponents off lol

The female lead is brilliant as well (the silver-haired girl from the cover). She's a princess and no, she's not a useless damsel. She's powerful and smart and she doesn't lack a sense of humour.

If you love novels that have a fantasy medieval setting with dragons and warring between different races, this is the novel for you.

*I also appreciate a lot the fact that so far this novel hasn't shown any signs of being a harem. *

PS: Actually, the reason why the MC hides his real identity is quite good...

there were over 300 hundred people that were excavating at his grave. Furthermore, he was half-dead when he awoke from his hibernation. Even if he had said he was the former hero, he would have been treated as a joke seeing as his cultivation level was gone by the time he "resurrected".

And most importantly, after the 20th chapter, there will be a **very **good reason for the MC to not spill the beans.

It is decent. For 12 chapters there is no echi which is big plus and I hope harem wont be among the genres as well. There is good amount of action and the MC is good but overpowered guy. The drawback so far is that MC hide his identity - I am kind of sick of this trope especially when used without good enough of a reason.
