The manga adapts Maurice Leblanc's novels about a gentleman thief who solves cases while outwitting both the police and criminals. The first chapter of the manga retells the first short story Leblanc published, "The Arrest of Arsène Lupin" (1905).

When I first discovered this, I only thought that it was another story inspired by Maurice Leblanc's books. However, how surprised was I to find out it wasn't actually the case but it was an adaptation of the first novels ! At first I found this work to be extremely well done and detailed. The drawings are extremely well done, the dialogues are close to the book but nonetheless fitting for a manga, and the pacing was done perfectly. I hadn't even read anything from Leblanc yet, but this got me into Lupin's adventures, and reading the books I find this even better than before.
