It started off nice but somewhere in the middle it started getting boring, and I only got my interest back after the drama;

that one of the older guys he had given the hotel room number showed up and and had sex with him while wearing the blindfold thinking it was his lover who wasn't called a lover yet. And the follow up of the lover going up to that room and realising what had happened and them two talking about it. For me that felt unnatural cause there's no way he wasn't hurt and angry, and that should have lasted for at least a day. Not just a minute. Yes, the uke was hurt too but that was no reason for himself to not be hurt and angry. Not to mention that the uke didn't have a bath after the act and then bedded the seme. They talked briefly about it as they started having sex but it felt like it was just mentioned so there wouldn't be a part of the story that was left unexplained. Uke's hurt was understandable but the seme's actions weren't.

We can tell that it is a story that utilizes a lot of smut; smut just might very well be this BL's selling point, but the nice thing was the portrayal of the blindfold and how much it meant as well as the hand-fetish that led to the blindfold. The BDSM aspect in it, so points for that.

Also, I want to add that I understand the lack of a safe word because let's face it, not everyone who is interested in BDSM uses a safe word, especially for light things.

Not sure if this was explained in the translated version, but Myeongdo's name is literally "brightness level" and in that scene the morning after Myeongdo finally itted his feelings for Cheongok, Cheongok was portrayed against the bright light of that morning. And when they laid back down together, they were both finally in color.

I interpreted that as Myeongdo finally letting down his walls to let light in, and letting the light in means letting the colors show themselves. The colors have always been there. To Myeongdo it was just a matter of seeing them or not. I would argue that he didn't even know that his world was black and white. But that scene was very impressive to me. It was the first time they were both shown in color, the first time they both felt at peace, certain.

Top tier in my book. The style of character art was not my favorite, but that's legit my only complaint as the overall art style and aesthetic are superb. The monochrome black and white plus splashes of red are a great choice, it really highlights the sex appeal. Very sensual throughout and kink-friendly (though not always safe practices) for hands, blindfolds, and anonymous encounters. Though there are a few rough moments and they don't address stuff like safe words or negotiate certain kinks ahead of time, I feel like this was a pretty decent portrayal of a healthy "casual -> fwb -> partner" progression.

This story could've be great, but both of the characters assaulted each other while the other was asleep. I read all the way through in hopes it would've at least been addressed but they literally make a joke of it at the end. So disappointing.
