Very generic plot with rather nice artwork. Sadly, the storytelling (writing) is bad. I think the rather risque artwork can't distract from the bland (and annoyingly mary-sue) OP protagonist and cardboard characters. The antagonists are cartoonish. I dropped it at 21; probably should have stopped 10+ chapters earlier... the nice curves couldn't defeat the downward spiral.
As of this review read till chapter 9.
Things just exist without being given proper explanation. slaves randomly exist cause obviously. Magic has been in decline for 400+ years and the MC isn't even curious why. MC wants to hide himself from people he knew 400 years ago because of no good reason except cause thats normal in these types of novels/ manga.
He refuses to tell his own adopted daughter from 400 years ago that he might be reincarnated, can't even reveal it to her and tell her to keep it a secret, cause obviously that isn't a possibility, therefore he must hide it from literally everyone.
Also also, he says he 'just wants to research sorcery' thats why he ed the magic academy (which is already leagues weaker than he is currently) so exactly what new stuff is he going to learn there? And his disciple of 400 years ago who's still alive now somehow wouldnt know every single advancement that was made in this time period? But nah that isn't how a generic trash manga would go, therefore the fact that he could ask her simply does not even cross his mind.
All in all, very bland. will not even read it if bored.
Update as of chapter 14: Actually just never read this. Its utter garbage. but not entertaining garbage either. in the first arc he kills his own father and brother for high treason against the crown prince but then later on the people who do much worse he doesn't even kill (like typical braindead shounen) I was expecting too much. It's not just generic, its actually just bad.
As for more at least interesting and better written alternatives- Shikkaku mon saikyou kenja (weakest crest), or Inferior eyes. Both of these have similar settings but much better defined stories.

Was not as generic as I thought it would be, Chapter 11 is kinda a cliffhanger though so if this hasn't been updated just be aware.
until chapter 11, i've enjoyed reading it
but when the mc got betrayed by her "servant", although it was for a reason, i still would've liked to see some revenge. personally, i think the mc is too soft. would've been better if she would be punished, but idk if she will be in chapter 12
I think this is the 5th story I've read with a similar premise, they differ a little on ho the OP MC comes to be but basically, a powerful guy gets to live in a world were magic has gone in decline and thus he's ridiculously powerful for that era. It's a decent enough setting and lives or dies with the characters as it often happens. For this one, it's too soon to tell, might turn good or bad still, how the author handles the slave girl will probably tell all that there is to know about it thou.
So far thou, it's been decent enough, a bit too childish in it's representation of the bad guys.
Its the same trash as usual, even including the dumb main character and a slave girl by chapter 5
Like a main character who is always trying to improve, but given the short end of the stick, to rise up and become a force of nature. Keeping a good personality as he puts others in there place. (I imagine will also help those in need but having gotten that far yet.)
Hoping that it picks up a little in pace but overall a good read so far.
