It's the Meiji Era in a slightly alternate Japan, and the Gregorian calendar has just come into effect. The fox-eared girls living in the youkai part of town are about to be put to work together with a delegation of young human soldiers, to promote interracial understanding. So what will happen when Zakuro's strong personality collides with human sensibilities? 6ol6m

This is a wonderful seinen read. I love it. The art is pretty and I love the story. I love the tsundere character Zakuro and her personality. Everyone is well developed and I feel like I know the characters. The art is gorgeous and painstakingly drawn and the character designs are AWESOME. They're very consistant and its overall really cute for a seinen manga. I love the fight scenes and the singing parts. I love how it gets dark and disturbing at parts and the expressions of the characters change. There are many moods to this manga and I love every single one of them.
Out of all the series I've read of this mangaka, this is definitely my favourite. Even though there are fox-eared girls, this series is seems to be more aimed at females with the strong heroine who stands up for herself. Also another unique point, pretty funny how the main male character doesn't like the fox-girls and has some kinda phobia. XD

It's not shoujo. Sure looks like it at times, though, but no.
Birz isn't exactly aimed at just guys, of course, so seinen could be a bit misleading. Still, that's how the mag is "classified", so that's the genre it gets.
As for there being cat girls, well... They're supposedly half fox spirits, so there isn't all that much of a connection to cats.

just wondering, but I'm pretty sure shoujo should be added to the genre. Hmm, well I have only read 1 chap so far, so I could be wrong, will trust the one who added the series on this.
