By the time a new chapter comes out I've already forgotten what happened prior and have to re-read earlier chapters to . That is a shit way to tell a story when your release pace is so damn slow.

Read up to chapter 43 and I just can't sustain my interest in this series anymore. I think it has gone downhill since the first chapters tbh.
The main thing that kept me reading was the hope that the MC will eventually find a way to resurrect his dead companion and then...what? I don't know.
The problem is that the author doesn't know how to write a story. None of the characters feel fleshed out (not even the villains who just get a sad tragic backstory flashback for a few chapters before they die).
We got the old typical "she was abused by the church priests so she became evil" cliche. God I hate it so much but this story is just full of these. It's literally made of cliches. There is nothing original. All the characters are literally just cardboard cutouts of cliches.
Every one of MC's "friends" (if you can call them that) is literally just a sidekick. They have no independent thoughts, they always just agree and go along with whatever the MC says. It feels like I'm watching some 5-year old play with his toys.
The actual plot itself is too meandering and the MC keeps getting sidetracked, sticking his nose in random strangers' business for no reason. Random events happen (e.g. some rando steals some stone and now some spirit comes down and threatens to wipe out all of humanity unless the MC finds the stone) that force the MC to react and that's the entire arc.
Chapter 43 was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. In the last arc (retrieval of the spirit stone or whatever) MC was forced to invade some kingdom because if he didn't then the spirit would wipe out humanity. I thought that was pretty stupid but it was at least a reason. But in this latest arc that's about to start, the MC is about to invade some slavery kingdom simply because he thinks slavery is evil. There is no military or strategic reasoning behind this action - he's just attacking them because he thinks they're evil. I'm sure next chapters the manga will show us some evil things (probably rape, what else? The manga is so predictable at this point.) that evil slavers do in order to make us hate the slavers so as to justify the MC's random attack. That brings me to my next point.
This manga is so predictable. Everyone who goes against the MC is depicted as clearly either evil or delusional. And of course the MC always wins every fight without any losses. The MC is depicted as always in the right despite calling himself a demon lord and everyone else thinks he's evil but the manga insists that ACTUALLY the MC is the good guy even though he kills tons of innocent people for no reason: see last chapter when he allowed Dorda to slaughter innocent demons who haven't even done anything.
Whenever the MC slaughters innocent people the manga bends over backwards to justify it with stuff like "oh well, he's a demon lord, what do you expect? He needs to inspire fear. And actually he's a good guy because look, here are some people that he saved this one time."
Anyway, I feel like at this point I've seen more than enough to conclude that this manga isn't going anywhere. Dropped.
first of all, good art
my complaint is its lack of imagination and brain dead, every fight is shallow makes me think its a waste author build it in fantasy setting, or maybe author rush it to write more chapter which make this series easy to forget
i doubt in a week after read this you will be mc name and why he do his action to begin with
but hey, maybe its just me, you should try a couple chapter
hope the series become better overtime and has proper ending rather than axed
Chapter 28 is a decent enough place to stop reading this. Odds are its not going to change or introduce anything interesting plotwise from this point on, as it has not done so for a while already. The MC have fought enough different enemies and more or less cemented its place in the world. Its all on repeat now with slightly different faces.
The art is pretty good and the MC motivation can only hold for so long without it becoming a bore to read. Some cool fights as the MC falls down the rabbit hole of his weird idea, it only works in a grimdark world and make no mistake, from the world building we have gotten its all grimdark. Everyone in power, regardless of source, is corrupt and evil and got the masses controlled to a sickening degree.
It advances at a fast pace and has elements of world building, that makes it entertaining enough ... But, the premise is overused and nothing is set, it just plagiarises almost all everything that is introduced.
The trope of destiny is also played terribly. I mean, as the story is playing there's an almost omnipotent natural law that seems to stop him, but at the same time he's just acting like the typical tragic Asian hero even with everything goig absurdly smoothly for him.
It also irritantes me how brain dead the MC is portrayed, if he really wanted something like eternal peace he just needs to sabotage the kingdoms I mean the succubus girl is mere decoration and the gore fest is plain fan-service. Why would you attack the countries that are prepared for you and aren't a threat and show of your strength? (It just feels like when the USA gave photos of the atomic bomb with the timing, basically starting he nuclear carrear of it's enemies) You'd obviously go for the unprepared ones and annex them.
Lastly each battle is getting more and more dragged out ...

Atm, with 7 chapters, the art looks good and its a quite good revenge plot which the MC has a proper reason. Destroy the traitorous kingdom, become op, gets some sidekicks/subordinates, unite the humans, and kill.
Will continue to read this 🙂
