Season 4 hit dif

How far would you go for survival? Would you sacrifice your humanity and if yes it will be worth it to keep living as animal?

Loved everything about this webtoon from start to finish. I also recommend the webtoon The Retreats.

Want to know what an apocalypse is like?

It's been awhile since I finished this story, so I can't recall too well. All I was that I loved this webtoon.

The horror depicted in this apocalyptic world is haunting and depressing, and so very real. The feelings that you get from following the characters' journeys is sobering as you get an idea of what "apocalypse" really means.

It was confusing how Season 4 (the cannibalism arc) started out with a different MC, but it was a refreshing change of the storyline, albeit still maintaining its gloomy and depressive state of events.

Towards the end, the plot snowballed really quickly so much so that I can't even the ending. Season 1 was definitely the most memorable for me, but I'll have to reread everything as Webtoon is only just releasing the translations now for Season 4. There are 5 seasons in total.

The art style very much conveys the atmosphere and mood of the story. So dark, yet so beautiful...

A lovely story

It begins as survival horror with our MCs against the world. reading it feels like walking down stairs, every step you take you think it can't get any deeper into the horror of this world. and writing style suggests it's always the last step. But there always another one. it gets worse and worse.
as the story goes on there's a small transition in the story to fit into the huge "superstring universe" including another dozen comics. also a big part of the story is the "mystery" genre which the author uses to excuse a lot of illogical things (even within the story).
however i ened everything except the very last chapter. the art is gorgeous and fitting the story.
overall it made me start studying korean. absolutely worth the read imo.

Although the art is simple but imagine if you're in such horrible place, what can you do to survive?....if i'm there, i've die long time ago...it's a good story yet sad for such young students...even adult can't sustain to survive in such bad place..i hope they can reach the place the 'distant sky', room no.4 ..

Best thing I've read in my life

This webcomic was sad, gory, and beautiful. The art style complimented the dark horror that the webcomic twisted into something of nightmares. I will forever be changed, I wish there it was printed! It is a must read before you die, I am not kidding.

Twist here, Twist there
by PhieX

Early chapters are interesting, then they come up with a lot of twists. In the middle chapter to the end, I was scrolling without reading. It's quite repetitive. It reminds me of another series I forgot what the title is. But that series is better than this.
Let's say if the authors keep twisting the plot, then just end it with gore ending. No need prolonging the plot with twist, it becomes dull. And I think vol. 3 is a perfect ending. It's gore and empty, eventhough there're holes everywhere but it's fine I guess. Cause I kind of forgot the question after too mush twist I read.
The art is messy, I was not sure what I saw without looking twice or thrice.

Best realistic horror. And totally unpredictable.

Rating: 10.0  / 10.0

This webcomic describes the most global catastrophy that I ever encountered in any fiction. Several chapters into the story readers think that they know what is going on, but that's just the beginning, only an icing on top of the misfortune cake. What is the actual catastrope is revealed only in the end of season 3.
Main theme of this story - situation always can, and will get worse. The only question is whether MC will be rewarded in the end, for not loosing hope and keep fighting for survival.

So much wasted potential.

Visually this is just perfect for the format and genre. Setting starts interestingly and ominous atmosphere is spot on. It's a shame immersion is spoiled with nonsensical plot and stretching the tension until it becomes dull and boring. Over all this series could have been so much better with more polished plot and without unnecessary and repetitive plot twisting.

Above average asian horror

This webtoon is good but not perfect. The art style is, while not very good objectively, nevertheless perfect for the story. Good psychological horror with a very quiet and heavy atmosphere.
