So...how the hell did a mere Emperor with zero Imperial blood be allowed to have a concubine when the all important Elven-Human bloodline is only through the Empress? Why is this allowed but the Empress can't have a concubine of her own?

And I guess, according to the logic of everyone in this stupid manhwa, that red-headed bitch of a mother, Liliana, must have been a very, very recent branch off of the real imperial line. Otherwise, the prevailing belief that FL's strong powers is related to the real Imperial Family without connecting the dots between Dead Princess and FL's existence does not make sense according to the internal logic of the world building here.

Anyway, I don't know what it is but there is something really unlikeable about the FL. I usually love stories like this but, I dunno. She feels fake somehow.

Within less than a day after being rescued by the Crown Prince she's acting all bratty and mouthing off to him. She's supposedly never been assertive or confident and was quite timid even in her previous life.

Despite obvious, repeated and quite literally in-your-face evidence of FL being the Empress's bio child no one, not even the magical elves who started this idiotic bloodline with humans, will just come right out and say it.

Obviously, there is several years (or something) between the baby that supposedly died and when FL was born so, in-story, it's physically impossible for FL to be the "dead" baby princess. At the same time

the story itself kept emphasizing that rare superpower. ONLY the direct descendants should be able to contract spirit kings.

Even if FL is from a very, very distant offshoot of the imperial line, just the sheer evidence of what she's capable of doing alone is enough to override that difference of several years age disrency between the "dead" princess and FL.

Oh, and the spirit king actually called the Empress the FL's mother. Straight up just said it out loud. Did ANYONE chase that lead or even question it when it was thrown out there?

Also, why did the red-headed concubine/witch wait THIS long? If she's been around since the Empire's founding then there needs to be a good explanation for all of this. Yet, all we got is just more melodrama and nonsense.
