that one chapter where Hikari starts sneaking around helping another guy seriously pissed me off. how can she be so unbelievable stupid? she was even considering keeping her promise to "grant his wish" even if he asked her to break up with her boyfriend. how touching that she loves her boy friend so much that shes willing to dump him just to keep a promise she made with a guy she just met. i hate women like her, her boyfriend should be more important to her than the friend....
I just lost interest half way through...The characters just remained static. I mean there was hardly any development for the main couple for about 50 chapters. And I didn't really care for the side characters. It was cute and funny. 'Was' being the key word. I'm just glad it finally ended.
Dropped it because it started dragging way too much. I'll just pick up from where I left off and finish. It was funny.
When I started reading this manga I actually got pretty hooked! But as the series progressed it got more and more boring. Don't get me wrong, it actually has a good plot but the fact is the development is just too slow . I actually felt like I wanted to drop it 'cause hikari and kei are already a couple what was I gonna wait for? But I still finished it hoping it would get better but it was just the same flow, nothing more nothing less. So I was disappointed with it.What I'm trying to say is I don't like this manga that much. I'm sorry to the people who like this manga if I have offended you in any way! I guess this is just not my type!
Special A is really a worthy manga. It's not about easy way to gain happiness - boyfriends, sex etc. It's about true feelings for each others. Really, much people will probably think this is another stupid, cutie manga with nothing but cutie characters and cutie events. But this manga is also probably the first and only one about true and important things in life! It's about friendship and love - things that can't be obtained in easy ways. Today I'm really sick when I read something and after 3 chapters a boy and a girl have problems with "bearing the child or not?". Special A is different. Hope you guys notice it. And hope you guys choose important things in yours life too...
The first few volumes of S.A were GREAT. Great characters, storyline and humour but....the last few chapters were quite disappointing. I've just finished reading the finale and felt.....nothing. It made me feel quite cheated too since I thoroughly enjoyed reading this manga and all of a sudden I feel like I've wasted a lot of my time since it just fizzled out towards the end. Did the mangaka lose their ion? In overall, I'd read up until ch80 or so and just use your imagination to finish the rest...it's probably be better that way.
picking up romance manga as a boy should be a sin from reading this crap, from black lagoon lol to this. i kinda liked it at first ending just made me realise this was RUBBBISH. I wasted my time cus i was bored so For gals and boys dont waste your time it werent worth it didnt learning anything from it. the rating on this should hit minus numbers like -10

Started off kinda funny, but like starstruck said, it just lost it's touch. And I don't know what happened towards the end.. It felt like every story was just cut off, none of them had any flow in them.. Shame..
The end of SA was just released, thanks so much! However... as my personal comment, I felt... cheated. Is this really shoujo? Come to think of it, no development was made the whole time this series started. From start to end, Hikari wants to defear Kei. All in all, the romance in this series is... 1 over ten (ten being the highest). Their characters are weird. I will not read it again.
It started off really fun but I don't know whether the mangaka got bored or her ion for the series dwindled because the quality of the manga dropped vastly. The art in the later volumes just might be worse than the worthless plot developments. I felt sad because at one time it was my favourite and now I'm just waiting for it to end. This is what happens when series don't finish when they should.
