The stories here are all silly and kinda rushed in a way, I don't hate them to death but I certainly am not fond of them either. However, because I've seen much worse stuff I guess this is still in the acceptable zone. The art is actually quite nice, I didn't see that coming judging from the book's cover, but it sure was a surprise when I found out the artwork inside is way better. I like the chibis at the end of each chapter a lot.

from the first story is MAD hot. guh. it was worth it reading through this mess for that extra pic of him alone. and he's straight! i feel like straight side characters are a rarity in bl manga.

that aside, unfortunately the stories were kinda dumb ;/ romantic development was non-existant and it jumped into the sex as soon as possible. third story was kinda cute since we have an already established couple and don't need to go through an excuse of a chase. smut is alright, but there's better out there with better stories to go with them.

So, yeah, I liked this mostly because I went looking for something light, something to the time and not too drama-ey, with hot mansex, of course. If you want something meaningful, life-changing and completely free of cliche, uh, I think it'll be better if you read something else. Just a suggestion.

First Story-- Story mentioned in the summary above. It's cute and sweet. Yeah, yeah, it isn't the most original story but it's not like you'd expect meaningfulness in every story you come across when delving into the deep wondrous realm that is yaoi.

Yuu and Hikaru meet, have feelings, have fluff, then some sexy times ensue. I would have thought Taku(Yuu's manly childhood friend) to be the seme if I hadn't read the summary at first and I would have gone for him from the very beginning. I find him hotter than Hikaru but Hikaru and Yuu are cute together so it's all good. (Yuu is the type of uke I would love to tie down and screw senseless. Heh)

Second Story-- This story is about Kei, the uke in this story, a beautiful but troubled high-school student(with manipulative tendencies) and the new trainee-teacher who, surprise surprise, sees the real Kei. Some teenage drama, a dash of tsundere-fluff, and of course: hot smexy mansex between sensei and student in school.

I'm not a big fan of sensei-student relationships, in either normal hetero-manga or yaoi, and rarely do I make exceptions. This wasn't one of them. Sorry. I prefer it when the student is the seme to balance out the relationship dynamics and even then do I rarely like the trope so my judgement on this story might be pretty bias. Beautiful kid with issues meets understanding adult, they be gettin' it on, conflict resolved. Even with an uke as adorable as Kei, I didn't find his attitude in anyway endearing despite me usually loving me some tsundere/normal angsty high school kid.

Third Story-- Story about a couple with an established relationship, which was a pleasant surprise. I found myself really liking this one.

It's Aya and Shunsuke's first year anniversary but Aya, our uke, is a bit troubled that they haven't done it yet even when he feels a bit guilty for not being satisfied because Shunsuke is really affectionate and caring. Stuff happens, Aya takes initiative, which I just loved BTW. I love it when the uke ties down the seme and gives him a sexy ride. Uke then feels guilty for forcing himself on the seme but finds out the seme hadn't made a move because he wasn't sure if the uke wanted anything 'more'. Some more sexy times with a touch of more fluff.

The uke here isn't as fem as those in the other chapters who could as girls in shoujo manga if you lengthened the hair just a bit.

Fourth Story-- So, we have our really cute [girly] uke who's had a crush on his really hot dentist, Kashiwagi-sensei, for a whole timeskip of 8 years. He schemes to get the dentist's attention by getting cavities, eating Ichinose-san's sweets.

Our uke's plan backfires, learns Ichinose likes him, gets troubled, runs off to confess to doc, ends up feeling like Kashiwagi doesn't feel the same.

Baker-guy and Dentist-dude get into a fight behind uke's back. Dentist-dude confesses he wanted to wait until uke-chan graduated from high-school since they have an age gap of 9 years but now it's out in the open that he does like our uke after all. Sexy times, baby, sexy tiiiimes, which was pretty hot, ignoring the hebophilia.

I know I made it sound, er, less than appealing but I ended up liking this for some reason. Seriously. Weird. I found it pleasant and quite sweet, and at least the seme wasn't an ass who took advantage and stuff.

Fifth Story-- OMG, YES. Sorry. It's hard to find manga with Incubus!semes.
giggles madly in the fan-girl corner. PWP? Yes, please!

And, OMG, TENTACLES!!! TENTACLES IN YAOI!!! I CAN DIE HAPPY! Though I wish it was longer. Sigh. Whatever. Loved it, even the sweet ending.

Okay, it's confusing to rating this manga.
The story that i like is the 1st, 2nd, and 4th. The others is far away from my favorite things. Well, if the 5th story is not like PWP thing, maybe i can like it. Because the character in 5rd story is look interesting, but too bad, the story is far away from a 'good thing', but i didn't say that was bad. No, because the 5th is not bad at all, just like PWP thing. haha... peace~!
Okay, for the rating:
1st. got a 9.3 point
2nd. got a 8 point
3rd. got a 5 point (actually i want to give under 5 point but because i like the Seme in that story, i give it 5)
4th. got a 7.5 point
5th. got a... well, i like both of the character, but didn't like the story. So... maybe 6 point?
So the overall result is... 7.16? (the results of the count of using calculator) 7.16= 7.2

It was definitely refreshing to see a crybaby seme but the story was a little shallow.. it was rushed & was too short. The other stories too. The art was fantastic and the sex scenes were a little too graphic (It was hot though xD). Not recommended for those who just started on yaoi mangas.. come back after you have lots of experience okay XD

I really enjoyed this Yaoi. At first I was iffy about the art...then it was like wow! The art was really pretty, cutesy, type. I liked the first 2 chapters, the story of the first couple the most. Overall it was good read. If you are looking for a quick cute read then this is for you.

Pretty, pretty art. The sex was waaay too fast to me though, even if it is a PWP. I think the stories would be much cuter if the mangaka went easy on the pr0n (I found chapter 2 really adorable), but well. To each their own!

hmmm...a bit...shallow, I say. pretty pictures, but not enough plot for my liking. but I see that Mio Junta-san is a beginner mangaka, so I'll forgive and forget 😀
OK, who else thinks the 1st story had a total uke x uke feeling? 😉

Uwasa no Oujisama is a nice, lighthearted read for yaoi fans in general. The characters are cute and sweet, and the sex is smutty. If you're looking for an in-depth storyline, you definitely won't find it here. But if you're looking for some delicious art and yummy characters - Uwasa fulfills. This series would have been given a higher rating from me, if it weren't for the last oneshot which features the worst and least appealing of all Japanese manga cliches.
