Since this series went before Skip Beat, I got to reading it to look for similarities and a possible clue as to how SB will end ... and I ended up loving it (T)! 696q49

So my three favorite scenes are...

1. The part where Shiva as Misumi gives Tsukasa a HUGE bouquet of roses at Niko-Niko Tower.
2. When Tsukasa dressed as a girl in bathing suit
3. When Ryuji cried his heart out to Tsukasa (the only girl who will see his tears/true self, kya!)
4. When Akira confessed his love and asked Tsukasa to be his GF
5. Shiva and Tsukasa's "almost rape" scene

Ok, ittedly, most of these scenes (except 3 and 4) have been repeated in SB in one way or another, which is why they probably resonated more with me than the other scenes.

On a side note, I think the "chemistry".between the female protagonist and the main male antagonist in tokyo crazy paradise might have led to the creation of SB's kyoko and ren. Nevertheless this author and this manga rocks. Nakamura ftw!

I love all the scenes involving Kamo-san, especially

the one with the potty ashtray and the one at the end, when he told Tsukasa to take care of Ryuji (or something like that, I don't well).

And Tsukasa's fish costume dance 🙂

Tsukasa is generally more likeable, I think. She did behave like an idiot sometimes, but she could become serious as well. Kyoko is more of a 'typical shoulo manga character'.

It's difficult to pick some favourite scenes because this manga is so great that I would have to list all of them (well, maybe except for the ones with Asago) 🙂

I have to strongly disagree with this. Kyoko is in no way a typical shoujo manga character. She's a well-rounded character, very human and real. She has many good traits as well as weaknesses and flaws. She's really unique and very odd; she's a real character. Well, Kyoko's been brought up as a traditional Japanese girl and thus she used to have(still holds part of them) certain beliefs, part of which the 1-dimensional typical shoujo girls have. But that doesn't make her even tend to be a "typical shoujo character".
Tsukasa has a well-rounded personality too, completely different from Kyoko's and she's perhaps more likable because she's much more baddass than Kyoko. She still has weaknesses as well though and I love her.
@shojojunkie, I wouldn't say these scenes have been "repeated" in SB, more like there have been scenes of the "same kind" in SB too(I don't I'm understood here^^;; )
Now, as for my favorites scenes...I have tons of them. I like all the scenes

between Tsukasa and Ryuuji, Asago and Munakata, all the scenes in which Tsukasa is acting weird because she got shot and she's either a seductive sexy girl or the "virgin", pure maiden tyre(LMAO), the scene Hanae mentioned, the ones you mentioned except 4, the one in which everyone finds out about Tsukasa being a girl while she's fighting Freya, the one in which Shiva watches Wakasa's video-well all scenes with Shiva!<3, the one in which Scorpion is ready to escape with Shiva and Tsukasa calls him "Onii-chan" acting all stereotypical-imouto-like and he freaks out and maaaaaaany many more.

T is really one of the best shoujo ever, an excellent blend of comedy, action and romance.<33 Kudos to Nakamura for her wonderful manga!

I didn't mean that Kyoko is a typical shoujo manga character... She's quite unique, and that's what I like about her. But I think she's still more typical than Tsukasa. I hope you'll know what I want to say, because the more I explain, the more complicated my post gets 🙂

I get the part about kyoko and tsukasa. I think tsukasa is more of a contradiction than kyoko,

at least tsukasa has active tear glands (I think kyoko's have dried up after her initial cry over sho) .

The relationship upgrades between Ryuuji and Tsukasa through every volume.

Tsukasa is more unusual as a heroine than Kyoko but that doesn't make Kyoko, in any way, more of a typical shoujo character. Being untypical is far too different from being unusual. Probably this is what you wanted to say.
Tsukasa is rare to find in manga; a fighter with a chain, so exotic. Kyoko is an aspiring young actress, still in high school; nothing out of the "ordinary" here. However, both their (really different) personalities are something else.<3 Kyoko is more usual to find in manga but it's her circumstances that are common and "ordinary"(<-being a >seemingly< ordinary girl in high school). That doesn't make her more of a typical shoujo character. Not at all. I hope you get what I'm saying.^^
Anyway, to be on topic, I'll add another favorite scene:

When Takuma(Tsukasa's big brother) tells her that there's a video for her from their parents and she's so happy that she calls him "Tako-nii" instead of "Taku-nii". It always cracks me up.
