Actually shonen usually sucks more with girls. Why? They allow the author to give hints of romance without any actual romantic involvement......which is bullshit. 1v1r4g

Take Bleach for an example. We all know RenjiXRukia and IchigoXOrihime belong together, it's even been hinted by the actions of said characters. Will they ever get together, probably not (or Tite will wait until the very last chapter and do a "they lived happily ever after" type of thing.....also bullshit).

Writers, if your going to include a female love interest for any character, then include some damn character/plot development based around it. I'm not saying turn it into a romance manga, but shit, even Peter Parker went out on a date or 2.

So yes I can bear to read shonen with no girls, some of the time I prefer it.

yeah same as the case in Kenichi , where miu and ken both have feelings but i dont see the author making them date anytime soon...but in this case it has a comedic undertone but in bleach, naruto etc such things are annoying....and same is the case with GTO......such an open ending 🙁

Yeah, I love them. Manly men punching each other to the end without any little unresolved romance subplot! Crows(and Worst) and Sakigate!! Otokojuku are two that come to mind.

I actually can't think of that many, but that's cause I'm not counting things that "Don't have many girls"

I also like when there's a bit of romance mind. But that's a different issue entirely.

Kenichi has hordes of female eye candy characters 🤣

wait... there's no girls on naruto right??....... jk

🤣 Nice.

I think some shounens could do without them. I don't care, I read it for the plotline and fights (and guys) not for the girls.

Hunter X Hunter counts as a long shonen with no girls, right? Because in it, there is no romance and stuff between the few female characters and the main (young?) boy characters...

I find HXH quite entertaining so... Hell yes? Or 'maybe'... I mean, like, HXH involves an actual plot, not just guys punching and bearing knuckles. Really depends on the manga's plot if I have to decide whether or not I want to read long shonen mangas with no girls... So I'll say maybe.

Depends on the plot really. For a battle manga, it'd actually be normal. Unless the girl is the protagonist, they're usually a character, or meant for romance.

If it was something like Hajime no Ippo or Dragonball, I'm fine.
Mahou Sensei Negima or To-Love-Ru? You must be out of your mind.

Well I've never really tried but I think I can, but I do like a tiny bit of romance when I'm reading Shounen/Seinen.

Ahh like Gamaran, which only briefly had one girl in the first chapter.
I like it, but I'm a girl so I don't really need girls in my manga. In fact, many times girls in manga are annoying and just there to flash boobs and smack the boys telling them they are stupid or something.

Well, as long as it's not all "bare knuckles", etc, I like shounen without romance.

Hunter x Hunter is an example. Or Hikaru no Go, Prince of Tennis, or even Beelzebub. (Sure there's Hilda, but just try being romantic with her... I dare ya)

Or like [/m]Eyeshield 21[m]. Any romance is way, waaaay in the background.

May be,
All depend on the story.. as long as it doesn't turn out as yaoi. Sorry.

Too many girls, with no distinct plot and didn't fit the story well, feel aimless and disturbing, like some ecchi stories.

But it's better if there's few girls in the story.

no way!!
and im a girl and im not really that much interested in romance i want fighting but my eyes will get sores when its just guys.. i mean the environment is somehow more complete if there's at least a member of the opposite sex.. so the same for me i cant stand it with just girls there has to eb at least one guy..

That would depend. Will the large amount of hot guys make up for the lack of pretty girls?

Srry, i have to say that the entire cast can't either be guys or girls it has to be somewhere in the middle, though a few mre girls then guys isn't that bad either 😎
