It feels as though the author has pretty much played on one of Onepiece's strengths: crewman ship and how everybody actually talks and how much character development you get. Up untill the time skip, there was a fair amount of talking, and i could take it, it was actually nice, because the things they were talking about actually built charecter to what they needed to. But now, it just seems like some idiot editor told Oda to just go with that strength and white the shit out of onepiece! Common, you guys should have noticed by now! So little is happening per chapter with so much text! It's like freaken bleach except instead of nothing happening, and having huge pictures, now theres nothing happening, and there are huge dialog boxes!! 6s6lb

As a fan of onepiece since when ever, I have noticed, here look, read some of the newer chapters, or read the newest (614) to see what I mean. Look at the first page, already, way too much talking!
🤢

nah, never mind. Just stupid anger from the last chapter that was like that. This chapter is great!! 😀

It's mostly because its the beginning of a new arc. Excluding Marineford and Impel Down, it's usually like this.

It's a series with a lot of talking. I like the dialogue. It's one of the things that gives the series special charm, helps to expand the setting, and creates opportunity for characterization. And gag comedy.

There's a certain amount of dialogue the author needs to convey the storyline to the reader. His options are:
1- a lot of dialogue boxes and fast-moving chapters
2- less dialogue boxes, slow-moving chapters

I don't want One Piece to end up moving as slowly as Bleach.

this really. in Gantz's standard, which had WAY too much focus on action per , the whole journey to REACH FI itself would've taken a whole year and a half, at least. the intro of the big bad(s) and the beginning of an crisis in around 20 chapters since the time skip without feeling too rushed is a wonder of itself.

Yes, there's a lot of dialogue in OP chapters but every is read-worthy.

Its called plot development...who cares if the chapters have less action. Plus, as mentioned above, there will be more dialogue at the beginnings of an arc to provide background.

I think one of One Piece's main strengths is its depth, that's what makes it unique. That depth can't be explored if the characters don't talk much.

I have to acknowledge that I didn't expect the text increase in One Piece. It feels akward, because it's not like you can get used to it that quickly. I enjoyed more One Piece with less text, that is true for me, also I'm not a hardcore One Piece fan.

I like some manga that can have lots of text, like Gintama and Sket Dance, but they are usually like that. Maybe if One Piece keeps being like that and keeps being as good as it's I will get used to the wall of text, who knows.

I don't understand how there are too much dialogue in One Piece. Seeing how you can't even stand reading that many texts, I can safely bet that you don't even read novel books or newspapers. No offense, but if you find it that hard to read One Piece, mind as well read a picture book.

are you retarded? You may not have noticed yet, but Onepiece is a comic book, and the only reason I read it instead of a fucking novel, is becouse it is a comic. Do you know what comics have that books don't?

Yes, I am fully aware of what a comic book is. After all, that is what the word "manga" literally means if you haven't notice. I suggest that you reread from chapter one back to the recent chapter and actually read the texts for once (word by word) and not only look at the art so that you can discover that there haven't been any changes in the amount of texts put into each chapter. Also please refrain from using profanities as it degrades your intelligence more than you already have. Have a happy reading.

I prefer more text and more content and plot continuation and read in 10-20m than reading Bleach with almost zero text and read in 2m. There is no fun there and the plot goes slowly.
