have ya''ll be playing mystic messenger ?? it's on android and ios. 102n3z

there's one extremely possessive lead (so far, i've played all but one route) who is arguably a yandere, though he doesn't really show much dere in the beginning. but his route is HMMMMM if u know what i mean haha

there's another one that has a bad end that could possibly be seen as yandere (depends on how you look at it). i think all but Jaehee's route show some sort of possessiveness.

it's a great game though!!

You sure about Jaehee? She's a woman though, unless you're talking about Jumin then yes he has some yan tendencies, but not uber crazy. The visual novel (Korean translated to English) Nameless has THREE yanderes and they're crazy lol.

Sorry, nothing new to the table for mangas, and if anyone hasn't already, I highly recommend playing some visual novels, especially Namless (by far the best VN with yanderes).

I haven't completed all routes but I heard that Yoosung is a yandere, but he's cute little boy from the beginning so yeah, I think you mean Jumin.

About yandere boy, Metronome is the first manhwa I think of: https://mangaupdates.sitesdebloques.biz/series.html?id=64587

..... but you would need to know Korea, have Daum and pay I think only 1000W for all chapters, ha ha.

yes, i said all BUT jaehee show some possessiveness. ^^ although i haven't finished seven's yet so idk if he is or not. as for jumin not being uber crazy.. well... there's that one "bad" end.. .lolol

i haven't played all of nameless, which is by the same company (cheritz) but the yanderes there just didn't sell it for me. maybe because i didn't find them all that attractive lol. there is also dandelion by cheriz, i think it has a yandere or two.

Found a new one! It's a manhwa but with pretty decent story.

the moon that rises in the day

The guy is starting to show a possessive side of him but it has yet to reveal why. BUT surely you can sate your hunger with this one!

I've finished all routes in Mystic Messenger. Q* would be considered the most yandere out of all of them for his "I don't know what to do with these feelings" act.

W* comes in at a distant second, but the way it's presented in the story, I won't really agree to labeling him as a yandere, at least not necessarily toward the heroine. Though a few lines here and there does make you do a double take. Nobody else gave me yandere vibes, except that one phone call from E* about his jealousy.

That said, I would say the yanderes in this aren't quite as extreme as the ones in Cheritz's previous games. Even Q* is pretty mild, comparatively speaking. (Though, Q* had a surprisingly kinky/hot yandere bad ending.)

@Songo I'm surprised you didn't play (most of) Nameless! I really liked the yanderes in this one. Especially the "main" yandere. At first his character didn't really appeal to me, but he really won me over. I loved how creepy his voice got when he was in yandere mode. I really like the "overflowing affection" type where their voice gets kind of breathy. 😛

Though, I can see not being "into" some of the characters. To be honest, I couldn't get into Yuri and especially Red. It was ugggh the entire route despite him being the "final" route.

@mileen I've been meaning to read that, but the beginning had me so confused. It felt rather heavy on the history(? it's been awhile). Do you around when the story picked up for you?

  • Rather than putting tons of spoiler tags, I substituted character names with QWERTY assignments. Here are the characters names:

Q = Jumin
W = Yoosung
E = Zen

@SilverStorm I couldn't which which but the story slowly picking up though. Got me really confused at the beginning and halfway through, but slowly getting the hang of it. Try to stick with it, there might be explanation in the near future.

IDK if this considers as "yandere guy", but the ghost slash monster dude is "marking" her to be his either food/wife. Could be hinting something but do check it out Ghost Wife

@Sogno do tell me how do you like the manga! It's confusing but there's more to it!

I just ed a series where the guy is not considered a yandere, but he's rather forceful in making sure the heroine 'can't get away'. It's a web novel and not listed on MangaUpdates, but it's titled I Don't Want to Be the Crown Princess!.

I "read" ahead, and don't think I recall anything yandere, but he really does live up to the dekiai 「溺愛」/'doting love' and shuuchaku 「執着」/obsessed tag (on syosetu) for the story.

And this is definitely not a male yandere story, but I like how secretly and not so secretly clingy the guy is in Liar x Liar. 😀 Oh and @Sogno, if you haven't read this already, he has a scene where

he falls apart when the girl tries to leave him.

I know you love that. (I do too.) lol

@Mileen, I'll have to check it own when I have time then! Ooh, and I've read Ghost Wife too! He's not really yandere (so far), but something about him would be something yandere fans would love. Maybe cause he's so protective but also practically threatening the heroine? I also find it amusing that the heroine is scared, but clings to him.

If you liked "I don't want to be a crown princess" or possessive guys, I know a series that you might like, but it hasn't got any chapters in awhile, the translation group disbanded I think, and the translated chapters haven't gotten to that point yet. But we can always hope for more translated chapters.

Series:

Lan Chi

The main character was claimed as property by a guy. He branded her with his crest. She managed to escape from him for 3 years, but he went through hell just to get her back. He willingly locked himself up for a year, with no sunlight, baths, and ate only vegetables, just so he could get resources to find her again (his dad promised him one thing - with the exception of finding the heroine - if he could handle being locked up like that).

I'm not sure I've read something guyxgirl, but if it's guyxguy with a psychopatic one inside, you might want to try something by the author: Harada. The stories are dark and the guys are really crazy sometimes. Try Nii-chan (there're 3 chapter out and on the way for the 4th chapter), Hikizuru Oto, Yugami Hajime. If you don't mind doujin, Harada made a Gintama DJ with GintokixHijikata pairing titled Mienai Kusari and was quite extreme.

awesome! More and more recommendations! I actually have nothing to offer at this point of time so I'm just going to dig all these manga you talked about and OH i didn't know Liar x Liar is "that" kind of manga. The innocent-looking cover deceives us.

I do agree it is not really "yandere" but the ghost is giving off the "hella creepy yandere" vibe, tho that is probably because he's a ghost but I'm waiting for the surprise in the comic. Hopefully magic happens sometime soon! We do love yanderes in the form of a ghastly appearance, much more exciting!

I just read the latest chapter c178-180 of My Disciple Died Yet Again (Novel) and it has a male yandere (side?) character!!

I would not recommend it if you're only looking for yandere material, as I'm pretty sure this is a mini sideplot and probably won't last more than a few chapters, but I love this novel. It's really refreshing.

I found a manga called Happy Sugar Life. It's shoujo-ai and he's not the main yandere. He gets some decent screen time though. A warning before you read: the person he and the main yandere are going crazy for is young. Like really young.

He becomes yandere by chapter 5 I think? Here's a short summary for his yandereness if you want to know more:

He was sexually assaulted by his boss and now he's terrified of older women. He sees a missing poster of Shio (who's missing because the main yandere kidnapped her) and now he's obsessed because he thinks that Shio can make him clean. Later we see hundreds of missing posters of Shio plastered all over his room. Also, he plans to take Shio from the main yandere later on.
