Sadahiro Mika is one of my alll time favs, her artwork is great and her stories have a huge range. Kano Shiuko is also very good. And of course for a bit more reality try Yamada Yugi along with Honjou Rei and Miyamoto Kano. 4e34k

Junjo Romantica
love mode (This one is like my bible!)
Totally Captivated (super hot guys)

pls try!!

I agree with you completely 😀
And adding a few of my own favourites...

Ze by Shimizu Yuki
Yellow by Makoto Tateno
Aisanai Otoko by Miyamoto Kano
Sex Pistols by Kotobuki Tarako

Try stuff by Honami Yukine, Kujou Aoi, Miyamoto Kano and Yamada Yugi if you're looking for slice of life stories.
Hoshino Lily and Homerun Ken have very pretty artwork, but their stories tend to be unrealistic. Still, they do have very good works.
For comedy, try Takanaga Hinako and Yamato Nase.

So, so many to suggest. So very little time...

So instead, I'll fling some mangaka at you and you can pick a story that you like best! 😀

Suzuki Tsuta, Minase Masara, Yamada Yugi, Sakurai Shushushu, Fujiyama Hyouta, Nekota Yonezou, Motoni Modoru, Honjou Rie, Yamane Ayano, Takanaga Hinako, Miyamoto Kano, Sakura Haiji, Homerun Ken, Hoshino Lily... I could go on and on for a long time. lol.

Everyone usually comes up with typical answers; like Totally Captivated or Junjou Romantica. Junjou is okay, a little overrated. I like the anime series though. As for Totally Captivated, so worth reading! But don't limit yourself to the most common suggestions. There are so many fantastic mangaka out there, and there are tons of new and very talented mangaka being scanlated right now. The world of yaoi is flourishing! (<--- freaking fangirl speak) Anyway, my best advice is to work your way through some different mangaka, and from there you can see what you really like. Personally, I started with Takanaga Hinako. lol.

I think (maybe) that I've read too much yaoi. I always wonder if it's possible to actually do that. Can anyone read too much yaoi? >.>

I have to disagree, somewhat. lol. I'm really not a fan of Sadahiro's artistic style, but I still love her work. They're always a good read, even if you're not into her artwork.

Agree with the "Totally Captivated". It's really good and I think, deserves more attention than it currently have.

I also think Junjou is a bit overrated but I enjoy Junjou Terrorist a lot. I think different people like different couples, so even though you might not enjoy the main couple, you could love the other ones.

/me now off to read what others suggested in this topic. Thank you too!

And good ones which others haven't mentioned are:
Aishuu
Overdose
