Kimiko Uehara, born Kimiko Murakami, is a well-known shoujo and josei mangaka. She debuted in 1966 under the name of Kimiko Kaneda with "Kuro kosumosu no hanakotoba". She received the 1990 Shogakukan Manga Award for children's manga for Lovely Mari-chan. Uehara is cited by Naoko Takeuchi, author of Sailor Moon, as an influence, especially her dia Lolly no Seishun and Honoo no Romance. 5b2d1a
