For isekai, especially with one's where the main character gains more powers and skills, when they reach a point where they're basically God, there's no longer any threat or urgency. By then the story should be in the midst of wrapping up or at the very least if the publisher/author wants to milk the series, it should have compelling characters to keep it interesting.
It's basically a slice of life now, not in a good way.
It's a good manga, but not a 10/10 (nor a 2/10).
I dislike the character design and art, but the plot is okay and has the same mood as Overlord (though I still believe Overlord is superior in several aspects), with an overpowered MC doing whatever he wants and oneshotting pretty much everyone: so it's not about "if" he wins a battle, it's about the context in which he wins and the secondary characters' reactions while he shows his overwhelming powers.
After Volume 13 (which corresponds to half of Season 2 of the anime), the MC develops a moral sense according to his god-like powers and plot beacame a lot more interesting, so I recommend reading up until that point before deciding if it's worth continuing the story.
P.S. : Despite what comment below say, Light Novel is still ongoing. Only the Web Novel ended, which is distinct from the Light Novel because their plots diverged quite early on.
The premise and the start aren't bad but if you skim an bit of the novel's last chapter you'll understand why you shouldn't read this .
I mean, the MC before he died was completely a thug, but he randomly gets a superior moral standing for no reason at all and pushes it on the entire universe
LITERALY and not just that, he pushes it onto an entire multiverse .And just as your average bland and generic LN he
turns into a god
just another generic reincarnation manga, you could swap the mc (retaining their powers) with any other of these mangas and it would be the same
story is.... just a copy paste of a generic isekai manga, characters are the same as all of those mangas.
literally nothing new, interesting or original, MC has no personality or character deevlopment.
to make it short, a generic reincarnation/isekai manga, with nothing original or interesting (in of story, world and characters).
Another monthly releaser. Waiting 5 years for a conclusion that, when finished, could be read in one sitting just makes me sick. I stopped reading this half a year ago and it would take me 5 minutes to catch up to the current chapter. That's seriously a joke.
It's gonna be a shitfest of an ending too. Seriously folks drop this series and do your best to forget it ever existed.
While "gain the abilities of anything you eat" sounds like the perfect character progression system with unlimited possibilities, it's actually a trap. Instead of rising through the ranks of ever-challenging enemies, the MC breaks the world 4 chapters in with a laundry list of never-ending abilities. This series, unfortunately, piles on additional powers as if that's not enough.
The challenge then becomes what to do after trivializing the world around him. After two volumes, I'd say not enough to continue following this Gary Stu.
in this mass of game like other world fantasy mangas out right now this one is pretty interesting. its pretty light hearted which i like it has a nice pace. its a pretty enjoyable read not the best art but its far from bad its pretty clean i like it. the only thing is like every other interesting mangas right it takes some time for new releases. if u like other world game like element fantasy manga you'll most likely will enjoy reading this one. I gave it a 10 for now because it one of the few mangas i actually want to read. Ill change my rating if the story takes a nosedive.
I have fallen in love and it's only the first chapter. Wow, the author has already set a very high bar for himself and it's still only the first chapter. Out of all the re-incarnation stories this one has hit the nail on the head. The way the author has the characters interact with each other is really well done, and the dialog is never boring and always fun to read! Not to mention the visual art is fantastic! The author has also managed to already set a great tone for this story and even a major plot/sub plot has been placed. He has managed to do so much in just one chapter that I am over joyed waiting for the next releases.
The only downside that I can think of is that the author might not be able to live up to the expectations of this first chapter. All in all you have got to try this one out !! Waiting patiently for the next chapter has never been so hard, best regards to the future chapters and good luck !!
