The short story "Foo Fighter Fuji" from Vol 4 isn´t translated.
5 Volumes (Complete)

Interesting concept with nicely introduced characters. The art is appealing as well. Though there isn't much character development, the author develops a very cute story.
To be frank I enjoyed it a lot, it had a very good start and the characters are interesting, however I would have to say that nearing the later part of the manga it became somewhat boring as there's no tension.
It would have be great if the aliens were not all good beings as it will definitely make the story more interesting. The whole story seems too happy even though much more themes could be explored.
Overall it's a fun read.
i like this manga because all it want to do is have fun, and until the end, that's all its doing. there's no drama or sadness, its perfect to unwind. dont expect this to be 'mind blowing' or 'epic' just because it features the space - and you wont be disappointed. .
One of the dumbest thing I've ever read, yet somehow I was able to get through it. If you're interested in space/astronauts and such, you should try reading it, you might like it more than I did. I was a little disappointed toward the end, I dunno, I guess I was hoping for something more, well, profound.
It was all scientific and such and then it was all like 'dawww the baby star is lonely and wants to make friends. Let's take it back to earth!' Sure, throw any sensibility out the window if you'd like but I'm going with it, because that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
I truly enjoyed this series. There's something about the art that drew me to this series and I must say, the art style is one of my favourites. This is kind of funny but the art kind of felt...hopeful? looking forward towards the future? something like that... (haha, does that even make sense)
Every chapter that came out made me excited for the next one. The story was interesting and original. I even reread it several times while waiting for new chapters (the art is so pretty, not flowery pretty but just visually appealing and cheerful to look at) I was really hoping for a long series and looking forward to following Maho and his friends' journey to Mars 😀
When I found out that the serialization ended, I really was quite upset even hoping that author would somehow continue it...
This manga was quite promising on the beginning. This could be a manga on level of popularity like Bleach, Naruto, One Piece. But it was too much "Action, more action, more exciment".
High amount of tension all the time isn't good - this is what killed this manga. One chapter, second chapter, next, next, more, more. It became boring. I hoped it to be long manga, (later maybe something like Star-trek, "to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations..." 🙂 - this manga had great potential here!) but, oh well.. 🙂 Maybe next works will be better.
Well, I've absolutely adored this series for it's interesting and unique way of telling a story about space. The trials that the students went through were interesting, and the special ability by some of the characters too.
It was so good, I wanted to read the raws when I found out the series ended, and...
It was quite bad. The portrayal of the alien life-form is quite mediocre and abrupt. There was also no new characters introduced for the person with the '3rd' ability, so I believe the series was axed and rushed. I now see why its ratings dropped so badly in the previous few issue of Jump when it was still serialized.
Its like everyone but the main male protagonist is chopped liver. They are completely overlooked and people look at the main character and go "Wow hes got this super cool ability." Its a really turn off. The characters are cliche but the concept is alright.
This is a gem in a sea of cliched shounen. It has everything that makes one great, added to originality, vision, and gorgeous art. I'd recommend it to anyone, and I'm looking forward to more!
Of course, I suppose the problem is that it's looking to get chopped by WSJ anytime now. That's kind of sad. :< All my favourite pieces in Jump are always hovering around the bottom.
