Storywise, it's the story of a Duchess that died betrayed and swears revenge after going 10 years to her past. The "twist" would be that she's the leader of an assassin group called the owl, which to be honest, makes it very hard to feel any sympathy for her imo, a murderer getting a bloody death sounds fitting to me. It's nothing special but it ain't bad either.
The interactions between the MC and the prince (I sure hope he's not the ML thou unfortunately all point to him being it) are irritating, the prince is a brazen brat without manners (which is why I usually don't like royal MLs, regardless, he's supposed to be an intuitive, intelligent and resourceful person but he truly doesn't show it) and she persists in keeping her meek, polite façade. So there is a constant routine of him being abrasive and insolent, and she accommodating, it's bad chemistry and not pleasing to read, for me at least. So again, the manhwa was ruined by the ML for me.
Also, there is a general lack of cohesiveness, as if the artist took the novel and removed several of the parts that explain and tie its different aspects together.
Altogether, I found it hard to read, but for those that like pushy overbearing MLs, then they'll probably like it.

FL is interesting, ML is a bit of a fuckhead but at least he's different, and some of the side characters are good. The romance is pretty badly done so far, but hopefully it improves. The main problem I really have is the lack of meaningful conflict/agency. The plot moves slow and doesn't have much of a clear direction. Aideen says she's gonna destroy her country, but we hardly see what she's doing to achieve it outside of a couple missions. I think the main issue is the villain being a country away, without anyone to immediately drive the conflict.

I appreciate quite a few things about this series:
First, there's the extremely competent FL and ML, but not to the point that they can handwave anything away.
Also, the plot is not just a series of misunderstandings due to a lack of communication. The characters actually talk to each other and seek help when needed. Several issues that I'd imagine many other series would stretch and beat on for ten chapters get resolved in one or two because the characters actually communicate.
I've actually found the pacing to be pretty good. I'm only twenty chapters in but I like how the FL and ML are interacting, they know enough about each other to have established respect, and they're actively working towards a shared goal. There also isn't a lot of stupid teenage-level shock over concepts like saying people's names or holding hands or being in a room together. It's like, competent adults interacting with each other like adults.
Good blend of political intrigue and romance. This one isn't cliche, except for the emotionally dense FL.
It moves at a slow pace. I'm on chapter 28, and I feel like I still haven't learned much about anyone lol. The artwork is kind of flat, but it somehow works? No fancy frills, no extravagant art. Just simple, clear cut lines, and very elegantly drawn.
