Hero is a dramatic adventure manga set in ancient China. 4l4l15
Wang Xiao Shi is a martial artist of the capital's largest faction, the Pavilion of Light Rain. At the outset of the story, Xiao Shi is faced with an impossible situation, as the Prime Minister insinuates that he will kill Xiao Shi and destroy the Pavilion if Xiao Shi is unwilling to assassinate Master Zhuge for him.
4 Volumes (Complete)

Amazing art, full-color. The spread on p.4-5 of chapter 1 is the most beautiful art I have ever seen in a comic. And chapter 3 demonstrates cute, caricature-ish facial expressions, so don't think that the art style is limited to picturesque scenes. Generally, the art style is "realistic" but very expressive and conveys a lot of subtlety.
In the story, there are a lot of names and it can be difficult to keep track. You're constantly introduced to reputed martial artists, their subordinates and comrades, spies, sudden uninvited party-crashers, and short explanations
The characters' interactions are constructed in a very detailed and mature fashion. (Except for some cute and humorous interactions in chapter 3.) By the way, people hail one another as "hero" and "brother" in the same way you'd expect a typical adventure series to use the words "traveler" and "comrade" (respectively). It's cool.
Anyway, the narrative makes this manhua very story-driven, but what I care about most in any story is characters, and that is why I really enjoy Hero. The one I care about most is WXS; his attitudes, perceptions, and demeanor really refresh me, especially in situations where he becomes curious about a nearby event or has communication troubles with his friends/allies. I like what I've seen Bai Chou Fei and look forward to his further development. And Wen Rou is hot.
