2 Volumes (Complete)

This was surprisingly a very nice read. There are some stories which I didn't find better than others but over all speaking the narrative technique (ing) is very beautifully done and the narration itself, with the story plot line and character development is very consistent.
Moreover, the female POV (point of view) is something that I cherish a lot. Not only for its rarity but also because it is quite realistically and nicely developed as well.
Also, for those who are hating on Alfred, back off.

I wasn't too impressed with one of the mangaka's works before so it is quite a nice surprise to read this from her. Some stories might be better than others, nonetheless on the whole it was a pleasant and fulfilling read from beginning to end. I do appreciate consistency myself, thus I gotta say I quite enjoyed what I read. And so, to be encouraging, I decided to give this manga a 10 for rating since I just liked it so much despite its flaws. The art is also really nice, a bit sketchy and reminds me of Yamagata Satomi, which gives off a very authentic and 'down-to-earth' vibe.
PS: It's always refreshing to read from a female character's POV in a BL manga. Might be a bit difficult to get used to, but once you do it's just pure entertaining.
I don't really get the "reversible couple" tag, as they never actually show the 2 penetrating. They only jerk off. I really liked the story, however. Characters were really genuine. I loved the way they interacted.
But actually I didn't really feel the romance between the main couple a.k.a TachibanaxOtani. But I quite feel it at AlfredxShou story. 🙂
The story is really good. And really Reversible Couple! Well... actually I mostly avoid Yaoi/Shounen-ai manga with category Reversible Couple, since they're the same as Seke that is something that I hate. But since the sex scene in this manga just so do "something that don't related with put something on someone's ass", I guess I can accept it! Mostly good for the main couple. 😀 Peace!
But this one still not related with Romance! But I guess this one worth to be read! Recommended?!

I liked the stories, the main characters are really likable and their relationship is unique. It's very well developed...But really, the one about Alfred and Shougo made me angry.
The logic he used to earn money is just stupid, yeah he will get to see him, but in the process he will hurt him so much. Long distance relationships are hard, I was in one for a long time, but never in my mind did It occur to me that having sex for money was an option. So I am completely amazed how some people might consider being unfaithful and betraying their lover just to pay them a visit. I'll just think that Alfred is a complete and utter idiot. All the other stories where nice but this one... this one really... I'm 100% against unfaithfulness so this really gets me, in my book there are no valid excuses to betray your lover. Shougo forgave him quite easily, no drama at all just a few tears, which in a way makes me ire him a little since I would have probably bolted and cried and screamed and maybe slapped him a bit and then break up -__-
I recommend this manga, it was very nice and entertaining. I can't help but really love the main characters relationship, it's just perfect.

I really enjoyed these characters. Made me hope for more volumes on the same characters, and hope for the best for them.
Unlike some, i can totally understand why Shogo forgave Alfred. Since there are porn actors/actress who also have a serious relationship, what Alfred did can be considered realistic for some people. Was it right, certainly not, but for someone in such a long distance relationship can be that desperate.
pleochroic: you would be ok with your parting having sex with a stranger, just to see you? i dont know how anyone can be okay with that. there is such a thing as STDs, plus you wont die from not seeing eachother for a few months, but a betrayal like that can destroy a relationship.
anyway, back to the point, i loved the main character and it was worth reading it just for them!
well, the shougo x alfred thing didn't bother me -- people sometimes do desperate things, and i most definitely would forgive my partner if they did what alfred did in order to be able to see me. in the grand scheme of things that's not terribly important to me (though i'd prefer if i got told ahead of time). but anyway, that couple was only a small part of the entire manga, and the weakest story anyway because there was no character development, and i didn't really care about those two.
the main couple, on the other hand, is wonderful to watch, especially in volume 2 which gives background information on how they got together. that really fleshed out the story, and made it memorable for me. i also like that there are no nasty female characters here -- there are female characters, even female characters interested in our protagonists, but they're not nasty.
i always like konno's art, though it isn't on the pretty BL bishounen side, but has more of a sketchy josei feel to it -- it is very expressive. well worth reading.
This was nice. I laughed and had a good time while reading Words of Devotion. The conversations were good, the art was good and the plot development was good. I liked their spontanous exploration of their love, and the depiction of how their love grows and takes form.
Would have liked a more round up ending, though.
Edit: I agree with #thismomentisfate (comment below) on the part about the story in volume two concerning the foreign actor x japanese-couple. But it's a small part of the manga, so it doesn't bother me much.

The continuation for Shogo and Alfred was really disappointing: Volume 2 ruined the whole series for me. i hate storys where the characters
cheat. We find out that Alfred has sex with another guy for a porn mag to come and see Shogo. He actually forgives him, and is touched! his boyfriend got to sleep with someone else, he did not throw away his pride. He is nuts, i would be devastated. it was truly unrealistic, and he even says to do it again if he has too, and not to tell him. what ??? The author makes it seem like it was "nice" that he cheated on him just to come and see him. Thats sick, it was nice? he cheated on him. and then he has the gall to act jealous, when he is the one cheating! whatever his reasons are it doesnt change the fact that he cheated.
