Yunosuke Shiga is a true Japanese man who fervently loves everything about his country's history, culture, and customs. However, things couldn't be worse when corporate commands from above orders him to, "Master English in 3 months or else!" Not even possessing English skills equal to that of a middle schooler, Yunosuke thus finds himself sent to the most prestigious foreign language institute in Japan, Shiratori Language Academy (SLA). But for someone who has never traveled one step outside of Japan, Yunosuke only ends up suffering from extreme culture shock, a murderous curriculum, and... fated love?!
2 Volumes (Complete)

Wow! I'm so tired of all those teary Uke I'm actually crying here!!!! The 2nd volume seems even more tiring with love suspense! T_T
I have to say I was disappointed, especially be the dullness of the characters as well as the story. there was also an abundance of characters but no actual starring moments for them at all, which consequently made them look like they were just for show. another thing, the thing that bugged the the most, was the racial profiling. the Japanese man was traditional and polite, etc; the American man is outgoing and flamboyant; the French man is very romantic; the Engligh man, by contrast is very serious and hates the French man; the German has (duh) German shepherds and is stoic; the Chinese man wears pretty Chinese clothing, has long hair, and likes tea and herbs and stuff. Overall, incredibly bland.
Not one of her better pieces, but it was still enjoyable. The emotions and characters ring natural and true. The story is a bit predictable, but the art is still flowing and pretty.
The plot is extremely simple (do your best), but it never promises more than a simple straightforward romance either.
There are a lot of characters introduced in this story. Fuwa-sensei does explain that she wants to continue with the stories of the other characters, so watch for that! Some of them seem much more angsty and interesting than the two protagonists of this story
If you're just as interested as I am in the side characters. You should know, because it was CLEARLY explained, that the author is gonna write about them. She said that this is just a introduction. That's why there isn't much about them in this one.
Anyway, this one is quite funny, but don't read it if you are expecting a hot steamy yaoi. It is focused in the cosmopolitan issue and how the main character learns about not giving up (and yaoi, of course xD).

It's pretty boring and dull, you'll already know what will happen after the first few pages because that's how most 1-volume-yaoi's are... There's no real drama, no comedy, same old same old. I dislike Uke's who fall in love with the supposedly hot (yeah, i don't really like FUWA's art) seme at first sight, mesmerized by their oh so dazzling beauty. I hoped there'd be something interesting about the side-characters, but you only get an almost nonexistent peek at their relationships, which makes their introduction completely useless.
so, if you're satisfied with your usual run-of-the-mill-yaoi, read it. if you want more, leave it...
