Taken from the Holy Scriptures of the Old Church of Selakiel:"When the Earth begins to perish, the Messiah will descend from the Heaven on wings of light. Clad in darkness, he will be so little yet he will be so immense surely he shall bring salvation to everyone." 3t2s52
"The four saints shall appear to offer him their assistance. One will give the Messiah courage, one will give the Messiah light, one will give him wings, and one will shield him from his enemies."
Note: Chapters are numbered differently starting on volume 7, since it's a beginning of a new arc
13 Volumes (Complete)

This story went MAD after volume 7, its like the mangaka went insane and decided to change everything with a complete mess of a story telling!
But for some reason I wanted to read it until the end.... and I did. Even if it was a complete mess, I still couldnt bring myself to hate it.
Had lots of hope when it started but it just turned out to be really bad. Story had no idea where it was going and ended really weakly. on this one is my recommendation.
At the beginning I already want to drop this manga, but I had nothing to read other than this at that time, so I read it till all, though I didn't really enjoy it.
The main heroine is really your classic girl, that can do nothing but just crying and seeking for help. Each time she tried to help, that just made things worse and worse. Yup, sorry it's not my taste. Instead, you'll find the other heroine more helpful in many situations.
The main hero is your classic type main chara with no good trait that only can do nothing but crying, being sentimental all the time, BUT said to be a the kindest person in the whole world. To some extent it's still acceptable, but if it's not changed till the end of manga, it's kinda frustrating.
The main hero also will get stronger and stronger in the name of SPIRIT, LOVE, and JUSTICE. Yeah, that's how things work in this manga. No training or whatsoever, as long as he put his mind into something and stop whining, he's becoming the most powerful.
The story itself is kinda random, and yet predictable, it's felt like the author just got an idea on a whim and wrote that, tried to make it"'acceptable" and done. He tried to make every bad guy is actually a good person, though that's kinda forced. The ending... once more time forced to be a very happy ending JUST for the main hero and heroine, but forget about sacrifice that needed to that. Yeah, poor Lilu, snatched eveyrthing by the main heroine, sacrificing herself for the main hero, yet getting nothing till the end, not even mentioned in the ending.
It's supposed to be very romantic story, yet it didn't feel it that way, just about someone saying "I bla bla bla" and I will do everything for her/him.
In the chapter that should've been funny, it's not funny at all.
I can enjoy both sora no otoshimono and gou dere, but not this one.

This is a very good combination of romance and supernatural story. The plot itself is quite interesting. Although the development of the love between the hero and the heroine isn't very well made, after reading many volumes, you are really made to believe that the love between the two is true. It is not much of a harem since the hero only has feelings toward one girl, which in my book is a good thing. The action wasn't bad, as there is nothing to complain about. The only thing i have complain about is the jumpiness. This is a very strangely paced manga. Anybody who reads up to volume 7 would realize this. Volume 7 will, and i mean WILL, very much confuse you. You'll be totally lost, asking yourself whether you have skipped a few volumes even though, in reality, you didn't. Actually, even before that, the pace is a bit weird. Ex: the main character gets from point A to point B right away without any signs that indicates that he has just move from one point to another. In fact, after volume 7, the manga still does that frequently, to the point where it stops bothering me altogether. (Later on, i actually expected it to jump). As i was reading volume 7, i thought for sure that this manga won't get anything higher than an 8, no matter how good the rest of it is. After frustrating volume 7, volume 8 will draws you in once more. then the manga will really start picking up the pace. It might be because i read it in one sitting, but i was really drawn in to the manga by volume 11. The ending is very nice, in my opinion. Although this might be quite frustrating to some people,
Every characters had a reason behind their action, and no one was really portrayed as the real bad guy. (everybody turned good) It almost feel like the manga is childlish, meaning without the tiny bit of ecchi, this manga was made for kids. Despite that, I still like it a lot.
The characters were lovable. The art was very nice. The story was jumpy, yet interesting. The harem and ecchi were almost minimum. The ending was predictable, yet i really loved it somehow.
Overall a very good manga, my only complain was that the manga was probably be better if they had 3-4 more volumes so that it doesn't have to jump so much.
Have no expectation and a lot of patient when you read it, it's a very nice read.
Ps. Daxisheart's comment was a bit exaggerated, but i felt that it was quite accurate.

Watashi no Messiah-sama has everything a great manga needs: An interesting setting, a plot that isn't afraid to move forward and several interesting characters. So why do I rate it as being average?
Because the manga feels completely disted. The author can't decide if he wants the story to be serious or be some ecchi harem and ruins the entire flow of the manga by pointlessly going into ecchi stories and ruining interesting developments that way. The story ends up confusing and being hard to follow because the author starts a very serious plot only to diverge midway and create time gaps after the climax. The second half of the manga is especially worse than the first.
In retrospect, a frustrating manga with several flashes of pure brilliance ruined by bad storytelling.
I'm a little disappointed. It was shaping up really well, but then volume 7 came and made me very confused. It took a volume or two before what exactly was going on was clear again. The pacing after that was never really good though.
The author's indecisiveness between it being a serious story or stupid ecchi/comedy was annoying in the later volumes as well. Not a big deal for the most part, but when it did show up it was jarring.
But I guess the main disappointment is that there are better stories that could have been told with this setting and these characters. The protagonist is less interesting than his harem who are less interesting than the villains. The backstory chapters are better than the actual story. If you look at what the story is ultimately about, that's less interesting than what the stories of the secondary characters are about.
That said, I'm still giving it a fairly high score, because I liked it a lot, and the bits that I wish it was actually about showed up enough to make me happy(ish - needs more Lilu). But dammit! It could have been better!
the story starts off a bit on the slow side, and although reasonable I wouldn't rate it too highly there.
The last few chapters however are epic, and this is also one of the only mangas were I was truly satisfied with the ending. The ending didn't seem forced nor inconclusive, if only perhaps a little bit rushed. I would advise reading this just for the ending (but not to skip and just read the last few chapters, since that would ruin it too).
WHAAAAAA! i just finished the manga after reading it all night and i cant stop crying this manga is in the top 5 mangas Ive ever read i had an amazing story the character development the fights were really good this is just fucking(sorry for swearing) amazing i read the summary for this story a couple times while looking for some new manga to read and i missed out but you have to read this i mean at the very start hes week but after like 7 chapters hes amazingly strong. you should read this i tell you read this P.S on a side note this story isnt that much of a harem i dont want to give away plot so i'll say youll have to read to find out

Oh my god, this is the best action/drama manga I've read in the longest freaking time ever. The art is so unbelievable fantastic in those later parts, it's just freaking insanely amazing. At first, lacrima stuff(volume 7+) was looking weird, but you get used to it, and then the awesome scenes just keep arriving.
The plot is epic. One or two twists are considerably foreseeable, there are seriously a couple plot points that are just plain epic, although that might be because of the art. It's a fantasy action romance adventure, and every bit of those genres are completely filled in(unlike, say, rave, where you see a romantic remark every 50 chapters...). character development is awesome, everyone has a part, pretty much any and every person(except that cool teacher guy and tarutaru, you never really see how they got so awesome). It's just... OMG, it''s epicly awesome.
Poor lilu. The ending fits, but that's why she's one of the favorite characters. Sariel was also amazing that 13th volume too.
That last volume, volume 13, had one or two rushed parts. The thing with Ryouhei was a bit... you know. The focus shifted a bit. Honestly, the first two volumes felt a bit rushed, although not much, but once you get absorbed, you get hella absorbed. The art changed between volume 6 and 7 is somewhat tangible, but you'll proably like it after volume 8+.
God, I love this manga. Art 10, story 9,85, characters 10, everything's almost perfect.
...I think the author wanted to change it into an ecchi manga after lacrima started. Not that much ecchi, but there are one or two scenes in one or two of the volumes that are... yeah...
READ IT.
i read this manga and thought oh wow its really good w/good plot 2 but during vol 6 or somewhere around there it just skipped some parts i thought someone must had updated it wrong but it was right just like metamike said
there should have been more to it or in better words more explaining
over all it was really great but i think there should have been more put together i guess...
