Oh god if NomangaNolife is fine with shield hero, then this must also espouse the virtues of slavery (since in shield hero having slaves is a good thing while everyone who is against slavery is somehow incompetent/bad). Will update after reading the novel!

As expected, he later buys a slave. As is common for these light novels, the insinuation is basically that slavery is a perfectly fine system as long as the master is a nice person and all the slaves will be glad to be slaves if that is so. No mention of what if the slave actually wants to do something else or not be a slave.
Also another pet peeve is that the author is another one of the dumb ones who think that you can somehow convert currency directly from a completely different world. Basically, he writes about a direct equivalence to yen without mentioning buying power or other economic variables.
Also, the translation is very bad with awkward phrasing and incorrect grammar. This is understandable since the translator is Japanese trying to learn English but it doesn't make it any less annoying to read.

Just looking at novels and found this after looking at legend of the shield hero and I have to say I love how they built the background story for the kid and I truly do wish that it continues! But I wonder why is there a reboot? It's good already!
I'm only three (four if you count the prologue) chapters into this series but everything is so awesome already. Since there isn't a synopsis I'll put a brief one here that I paraphrased .

I love everything about this despite the lack of characters introduced so far, and I can't wait to see where this goes~
