A hedgehogs Dilemma story,
by Rinshi7

Rating: 10.0  / 10.0

I for one really enjoy the story. Nothing out of this world but it doesn’t have to be. The story has been done many times before. A boss and his coworker how don’t really see eye to eye, for good reason however. Mikado who is very likable seems to be getting push around by his boss anezaki and not getting the proper respect he deserves. That’s is until he finds his boss weakness or secret about and uses it against him. For once in my Yaois that I read I actually found blackmail to be done right in this situation. What I didn't expect was the blackmail to end so soon by different situation.

His boss misaki anezaki has good looks and has a strong character like to him but also makes himself a bad person to be around especially to mikado and how he treats him.

The interaction between the characters are fun and enjoyable later on as they come to known their weakness or secrets. It’s excuted whether well bewteen them, as I don’t see the use of blackmail after chapter 2.

I enjoy how in see more of misaki thoughts about how he became about being guy and why he doesn’t want to fall in love with anyone. I found it to be quite realistic as I come to realize there are many people at there who act like him.

I find then rape of alley scene pretty light in my opinion. Misaki was stressing himself out about his ex who comes back to be annoying. Mikado jealously was a little shown but barely and the way he acted seem like him. He already know what misaki does and he was curious about his boss the more they spent time together as he started to see a different side of him. He doesn’t do anything over the top. He kind of accepts it if that were a case as misaki told him how he can’t find that special someone. I also see that mikado begins to worry about him quite a bit throughout the story and even within the sequel. All we see is one of it, and having him get saved by his ex which annoyed me. But I knew where this was going.

Chapter 5 got me quite different from I felt from the rest of the story. It was done pretty well especially considering this was only one volume which I despise because how short it was, but the Author seem to give it quite meaty to the story similar to jackass by scarlet. I won’t go into details but it shows the true colors of Misaki personality and how he is on the inside. That he really is a coward how runs away from his happiness because of his past. Or let’s say the hedgehog dilemma.

Usually when it comes to a story I can never really read it again. But for this one I can’t tell you how many times I read it. The story in my not be out of this world. Some of the stuff is predictable and simplistic but has to start somewhere.
I may add.
The author how still new to then mangaka way of writing still has a long way to go to precieve prefection but out of all her works I’ve read this is by far my favorite. I only wish we had more to build the characters more. Even the sequel she wrote got me crying near the end, which is rare for me. I would say this story is for everyone, but if you kind of know what your in for then give it shot.

eh the progression of feelings was pretty predictable. nothing new. it's cute, i guess.

I felt like the rape scene that everyone was referencing wasn't too long to be impacting, but I also felt that it was entirely gratuitous and unnecessary to the plot. in the end, it was all only a vehicle to get anezaki in his ex's apartment and for them to have a proper talk (and more sexual harassment) and then for mikado to get jealous over it. This could have been achieved in a myriad of other ways (also just scrap the jealousy part, that's so overdone), so the writing itself just falls flat for me.

nothing remarkable really about the manga. it's just mediocre.

Simply beautiful. Sad yet fun, and emotional

Rating: 10.0  / 10.0

After reading the review I decided to give this on a go and see for myself what this series is like. And sure enough. I loved it. Maybe the description doesn?t really make the story interesting but give it a go and see for yourself.
The plot. Simple, yet different between a boss and his work relationship which isn?t going as great, mikado a nice and lovable character who is also a fan boy but gets push and knocked around by his boss that he had enough. Sure enough he finds a weakness and use it to where I cheer for him. The author does a great job with him as his not an total otaku like many other characters I?ve read. As for the boss, Masaki who is consider a douche bag to mikado I couldn?t help but hate at the beginning.

Later though things take a turn and the two start to open up to each other which I found interesting. The author doesn?t shove the rush ness of these character even within one volume. They don?t continue to use their secret or weakness to each other throats. They hang out and learn more about each other.

Now another character who makes appearance. Who is the boss ex lover, starts to cause some annoyance between the two as mikado starts to wonder about misaki relationship with him, while misaki still carry the old scars of being a lot and wants nothing to do with it. Simple. Been done before. But excuted whether well.

Now near the the climax people seem to have an issue with an alley scene. I for one saw this was coming and mikado when foreshadow it to misaki about it, but misaki dealing with his own problems let?s it get to him and get attacked, I knew it coming. I?m not disgusted as many are. Could the author simply not show it. Yes. But It?s there for a purpose and I accept it. Then we have the ex just making things worse, as he tries to get back with him. I for one don?t mind him but he made a mistake and doesn?t even apologize to it. He just thinks it?s okay to what happen to him and Masaki which things were ok because he was guy and I disagree with maisaki fully. The author clearly shows that Masaki isn?t interested and what they did was in the past and the ex needs to accept it. Seriously. For what happens between them many people have spoiled and seem to hate this scene but I see it as proving a point about Masaki as a character and his relationship with a certain someone and I give the author a clap for that.

The last chapter makes you forget about the rest of story as for me I will always love how the confession is and how the author excutes it. And by jolly she does a fabulous job about it. It leaves most of the funny comedy moments that you see within the series out and starts to really shine as emotional and endearing to not only Masaki emotions and his vulnerability to his jerk behavior in chapter one but also how much I love mikado as a great man and charming character overall. It gets me start crying and I can see how pure and troubling through the eyes of a gay and straight man and it may be hard to achieve happiness to someone. Their confession was great and emotional that I could help but read it again.

Now we got more after math as we see misaki and his ex resolve which he seems to come to a conclusion. Many people seem to be upset that it wasn?t a better resolve but they already had it a long time ago, the author clearly states it through misaki heart and thought along with tell his ex that his not interested many times. Could have it been more proper and understanding? Yes. But the ex even seems to see it through his own eyes as he even asks his old lover about his relationship with someone. In fact he even gets his own anger out but releasing something to everyone that was more then enough as he even states hit himself about it. Could that character gotten mad and punch him? Yes. At work? No. Is their a point? Not really? He already did the deed. He doesn?t hate the character, but the ex missed his chance and needs to get over it, but gives a final say to Masaki as a farewell. Enough said and done.

The author also included a little prequel to mikado. Is it needed? Not really but gives a more insight to a little reveal in the bonus chapter and how he got a job which was fun and funny.
After reading the story, I finally got interested in these two that I want more, which is the downside of reading one shots. They are just two especially if you really love the story. Same thing goes with the author other work Hana and usagi which was a adorable but with only 3 chapters I couldn?t get into it as it was just too short and I want more. However if I were to say I want a sequel it would be this story.

Now for someone that imported the sequel that just came out. I gotta say this definitely drove it home for me. Thank you author for making another chapter as it involves only mikado and Masaki as they only been dating for a month after the series ended. Seems to be going ok however mikado seems to be upset about some. Apparently all they been doing is making love and he wants to something different. He wants to go on a date for Golden week. Masaki is confused and wondering why they should when they could just stay home and make love all day. However he gives in and we see these characters interact outside and it?s cute. But still problems are occurring. Mikado wants to hold hands and be together while misaki is trouble about the future and is worried that this happiness will end one day. It serves a purpose to ending the series right but it only makes me want more. It makes me see want to see them do more embarrassing stuff and near the end it makes me cry at the end.

I only hope well will officially get a second volume with more funny and emotional stuff between these loveable characters but even if we don?t. The author made a great story.its got it problems but nothing is prefect. But I love it all the same.

Love it. Sequel on the way

I really enjoy the story. My only problem was that it was too short to end but I found out we are getting an extra chapter after the story so I can’t wait.

The story. Almost the same as many yaoi I read in my lifetime. Main character, mikado has a job where his boss treats him like crap. So one night mikado has to take him home but ends up in a hotel instead and things happen. Well he ends up finding a weakness for his boss and gets revenge to make things right. Which I enjoy. Not many series with a character getting the upper hand in blackmail for a reason. I cheer him on as I read the story.

However mikado also has a secret too which he can’t share with anyone. Nothing that serious but the way image goes. I can see why. However his secret gets discover by his boss and they both tried to use their blackmail against them which doesn’t really go no where. So they set a truths and go on with their lives. However things between them start to change as they learn more about each other. Now of course this has been done before however how the author write it is very interesting and well done. They don’t used it against each other throats like many I’ve read before. They treat each other normal and I really love that despite their differences. No one disgusted by each other.

Now later we come to get introduced another character and wants to get back with a certain someone. No of course because of their past that can’t get back to how things were.p however the characters still try’s anyway which many people do now these days.

No wher people seem to have a issue with is chapter 4. I for one so it coming with no spoilers given. But if your not into sexual assault then I would say this right now. It didn’t brother me, for it seem to be. Trend in a lot of yaoi unless it’s Shonen ai. So I’m not easily brothered by it. Then another character steps in and makes things worse. Now to me, the character show had now and went right home, especially after he clearly made it obvious that he wanted him back. Is it right? No. But the character knew this. Plus a certain scene happens within that moment that made me realize how much he really does love a certain someone. So Again if it’s not your cup of tea don’t read it.

Now in chapter 5 is where it really got me, when it started to relate to reality’s it’s sad, but understand, and someone tells him that not how things are and you can find happiness if you try hard. I don’t why but it really got me and it was very cute to me. The story far from prefect and I do noticed some werid things that happen such as the day and whether a mikado know a certain some sexuality or not but I guess I’ll never know.lol.

I glad and happy to import this series in my collection and read the sequel.

Funny, and full of charm

After reading the reviews so far I happened to find this on Twitter. I side to give this series of shots. Despite the negative a mixed reviews for the story. Now for me I generally love this Sir after reading reviews so far I happened to find this on Twitter. I side to give this series of shots. Despite the negative a mixed reviews for the story. Now for me I generally love this Serie. I can only wish there was more.

As far as the characters are in the story. They’re pretty different and basically it’s opposite attract. I love the to the two main characters in the story and they bring a lot of charm and finance to the story.

Now a lot of people seem to be upset about the scene in chapter 5. I’m not gonna smile too much about it however we don’t really know from one of the characters main point of view if he was or not. One of the other main characters is shocked by this but the main character doesn’t seem to mind about it. As far as the readers we didn’t really give enough pages to really address that issue. I mean for us in the United States would probably call the cops if that really was as he says it was.

Spoilers. As far as one of the only love interests of the series yeah he try to did it with him and sure the main character doesn’t really get mad at him or nothing. Now for mikado stepping in, I disagree. He doesn’t know what happen. He doesn’t know the events that happen between them so how could he get mad about that. Now In the bonus chapter, mikado could mad to what happens to him however he doesn’t. Same as what happens to him in chapter 1 as well, as misaki was claim to be drunk at that time. Same thing in chapter 3 yet he’s not the type to hold grudges against that person. Also you have to it this is only a one shot so compare to another series like Hana and flowers I say I’m quite satisfied for how much closer and resolve that she did in this volume. Yeah she could have write more, but that another story.

Anyway. This story has flows but my favorite story by this author,

I had fun reading this, really. It was funny and messy, and the part where your superior is mean to you without you knowing why is so relatable lol. I usually enjoy everything in yaoi with office worker trope tho so this is an easy .

I like it even though description didn't draw my interest

Among other works by this author, I find this one to be the best so far. I really liked how she portrayed their thoughts from both perspectives and how genuine was the realization of their feelings. Both of them considered themselves "weird", yet the other one didn't seem to mind it nor mock it. I love this part, especially that it seemd that Misaki-san was a selfish jerk who doesn't care about others feelings in chapter 1.

They were blackmailing each other but there was not one bad word about being weird or disgusting. And then they started to hang out like friends, without hate or teasing. Really liked this part.

But then happened the thing that everyone is hating on. I am also not different.

The way both Misaki and Mikado just brushed off the whole rape/gangrape thing makes me very... let's call it uncomfortable or rather sick. From what Misaki is saying I get he agreed to do this with the first guy but he didn't know the other one would show up. Taking into his tendency of denial and that he was almost dead drunk, I guess he doesn't much and he doesn't want to it what happen, cause he clearly doesn't accept the victim position (the whole past case with Agatsuma makes it pretty obvious he does everything to stay strong and don't look weak, even when Mikado said it was horrible). But what Agatsuma done, pushing himself on a guy who was just raped/almost gangraped, is just disgusting. And the fact he clearly doesn't see anything bad in his behaviour (posting that video afterwards and what he said), I'm surprised Misaki could stay next to him without shivering.

I think the fact she showed this type of behaviour (especially Agatsuma, who doesn't see his wrongdoings is easy to find in the society) is really good but the fact she didn't make any comment about this being a terrible things to do is just wrong. Mikado should have beat a crap out of this guy, cause Misaki clearly doesn't accept reality. The whole situation reminds me about the TV series "13 reasons why" but at least there they showed he was a monster.

Cliché Mess

So, there's actually quite a bit of sexual assault in this?? I mean, at one point Anezaki is raped in an alley and then the ex-boyfriend plot device (Ama something?) tries to do the same thing after 'saving' him. But this all just gets glossed over??

Unfortunately rape is a fairly common plot point in many yaois, so I'm used to it. But, this manga didn't even deal with the aftermath in a realistic way. Without all that nonsense this would have been a decent read. Nothing special, but also not cringeworthy like it turned out to be.

Masterpiece, I loved it. The story, the art style, everything was great and so beautiful.

Funny at the beginning but it turned out to be a really painful story. It's really sad how the main character is really in conflict about his sexuality since he was just a child and doesn't believe in love just because he's gay.

this story got me so badly.
