Well I enjoyed it so much but it left me thinking if I gave a 10 I probably would have evaluated it merely due to my emotion.

Wouldn't deny that the art is so beautiful it's at a level I could man-crush already. I still love the gap moe of someone being so stuck-up strict but a moaning mess, tsun (just not overdoing it). Maybe if the author wasn't restricted to a single tankobon the plot could have given justice.

The premise probably was actually stuck between two cliches:

Either he liked Akihito from the start and it was Ken'ichi who became the replacement, or Akihito eventually becoming the replacement, which is what happened in the story. It's also a problem when ! they were caught in the act but the next day the conversation appeared like they have broken up long ago.

Still, loved the subtleties and vividness in the art.

Story: 5/10

In all honesty, this left a bitter taste in my mouth. I didn't like the whole "your bro was an ass, so I'm moving on to you" theme. Like? You're not moving on, you're using him as a replacement. No matter what you try to convince yourself.

Moreover, I HIGHLY dislike the typical cliché of let's say person A and B having sex and then person C seeing them by accident and suddenly turns interested in A/B. Not logical, not realistic, not hot, not anything. Just pure cringe.

I'm giving it a 6 purely based on the fact that the plot, as usual, had potential but the author screwed it up with some unnecessary elements.

I like the premise and the idea behind the story but unfortunately the narrative didn't do any of them justice. The pacing is not any better. Characters are also underdeveloped. I think the author tried hard to bring the story to light but couldn't quite reach its full potential, or at least to the extent that she had in mind. It's a shame really.
