well... if u're looking for romance, it's not for u. coz, if there's any "romance" in this manga,, it would be between the main guy and his cat lol.. 😛

imo, the live-in-lover category doesn't match this manga, cz there's no lover at all..

I've said it before and I will say it again - Ai Morinaga is probably insane. Her stories go to such crazy, unexpected places that you can't help but come to that conclusion. Of course, this is what makes her manga so hilarious and fun. You literally never know where she'll go next.

A few other reviewers commented on how obnoxious the female lead is... and she totally IS obnoxious. However, that's the joke! She acts as if she's the most moe-moe moe to ever moe, but she's actually just extremely annoying to everyone around her (including the reader) and especially so to the brother she likes best.

I'm actually sad this series only lasted 2 volumes. I'd be happy to see Ai Morinaga pick it up again someday... but as long as she just keeps releasing something (anything), I'll be happy. I need her insanity in my life XD

If you are looking for something light to read, this is pretty good. The male lead is adorable, there's a diva cat, ridiculous scenario, and the girl is funny as a predator. As with all the Morinaga's works I have read, the comedic timing is spot on, all the characters are likable, and the romance is more implied than existent.

i thought i wouldnt like it from the description cos im tired of seeing poor girls getting bullied and stuff. but i tried it anyway cos i like the mangaka's other works, and boy am i surprised. the story is completely different from i expected and i am very glad. it is immensely funny, and i find the girl very endearing. she's like another version of the stupid genki shounen leads, with added echiness. i love that this manga dont try to have a sad melancholic moment with her, trying to make her having more dimension or whatever, cos her cluelessness and forwardness is the best aspect.

alot of people seem to hate it, but probably because the romance tag, since there is absolutely no development whatsoever so they felt cheated. if you want straightforward gag comedy, this is the one for you!

I think I pretty much hated the main female character. Entirely too annoying, selfish, and egocentric to be the least bit likable or sympathetic.

i think this manga would have been great if Homare's character was soooo annoying and disgusting i mean they way she thinks she all cute and stuff and try to get close to Masamune. i found her horribley annoying myself.

im glad that its over and only 2 volumes i was getting prettysick of reading it cuz of Homare i dont like she's just those annoying type of girls i cant get used to thhe only GOOD thing about her was that she was smart in her studies, and got full marks in her transfer which is the only thing i liked in the manga.

I agree with loverun -- the whole thing was mainly a filler > x < And the main character vexed me a lot. She's so obssesed with a guy who's even more obssesed with his (ugly) cat. And she's not even cute... More like, ACTING cute.

Anyway. I finished it even if I didn't really like it. Besides, it's finished and I had nothing to do. xDD

the end was so pointless. The author even went on to say "hey, i might pick it up again! so be on the look out"---well that's the gist at least.

wtf. I was hoping for more... development, even if it wasn't romantic, SOMETHING to break the monotony of constant fillers, but no the WHOLE manga was a filler. a waste of time!

Maniattemasu! is an excellent comedy about the hopelessley romantic, somewhat obsessive Homare and her love for Masamune, who finds her horribley annoying and values his cat, Ran, far over her. This comedy is quite random, but with perfect 'punchline'-timing. Maniatemasu is also romantic at times (it's a love story, after all!), but not overly so. a great mix of comedy and romance!!
