Why is this such a thing in manhua isekai with female protagonists?
They are ALWAYS so needy, clingy and pathetic. They need their sister to always save them or give them opportunities. They almost never go out there to do it themselves. Or if they ARE forced to rub two brain cells together it's only after nearly dying from assassinations.
Also, the mothers are always so timid and spineless. Here, this mother, is from a powerful family but does this idiot leverage her power to protect her children? Nope. The asshole father is even explicitly stated to be afraid of the father in law.
Like all manhua "legal first wife" this one needed her daughter to yell at her for her bosom to finally heave with some kind of outrage.
Ugh.
CH.22 - So, some rando assassins on the street can just
jump into your carriage without further ado? They can even demand if you've seen someone? without any repercussions? In broad daylight? In a bustling market space? Despite your family's supposed high status?
And how is this character "cunning"? Or "clever"? More than half of her schemes wouldn't work at all if the 9th prince didn't literally jump in to save her dumb ass.
I am done with this manhua.

I wish authors would understand that having an attitude, being hot headed, and acting rashly doesn't make a character strong, independent or smart.
The idea for this story I feel was really good, but the execution utterly destroys what could have been a very good book. If the FL's anger was written more like a vicious lion stalking her prey and enjoying her kill instead of written like some modern day teenager having a rebellious phase, I feel I would have really enjoyed this. Imagine if instead of the plot armor the author keeps giving her she actually set out to divide and conquer her enemies exactly like a fierce lion does. Instead we just get a FL who always knows everything b.c plot said so.
The ML is used as plot armor which is sad because given the plot and his role, making him as cunning as snake, working from the shadows awaiting his kill and assisting the FL would have made them such a fun duo to read about. Instead he is just used as plot armor and as a way to say look how smart and strong the female lead is. Sadly instead of a deadly duo laughing at the fall of their enemies, we get a cliche male lead cardboard cutout that only acts because author said so.
The story telling for each arc is nonexistent as everything is so rushed that it feels like you are literally reading the synopsis in manga form. LITERALLY, I am not exaggerating either, the first few chapters is literally just the synopsis, right down to the mysterious man being introduced so soon in the story for no other reason outside of b.c author said so.
