are the characters total dicks? hell yes. does that mean the story’s not good? no. as long you can separate the two, it’s all good. not every story is just fluff.

I felt that this was very realistic in how their relationships all shifted. Since I'm an optimistic open minded person, I was just like become a threesome and it will solve everything. But I think their reactions were much more realistic, especially when it came to not entirely losing their affection for the other guy.

Arhghghgh, I wouldn't have read this if I knew that there was infidelity in it. But holy shit Terumi and Shouji are shit, absolute fucking trash. Like there are ways to handle stuff, but that was definitely not the way to handle it. The only saving grace was that Honami finally got a boyfriend that was decent and actually treated him well.

This seriously left me with mixed feelings. I wanted a 3-way but by the time that happened it just pissed me off. The characters are just too damned full of themselves and have no idea what love means. Homami deserves someone better than all of them, and Shouji and Terumi deserve hell. Well, the deepest level of hell is reserved for betrayers, right? Still too good for them.

Perhaps surprisingly I found this particular work of Sadahiro-sensei not that crass compared, say, to her grand masterpiece Under Grand Hotel, at least as far as the cheating goes. Yes, we all felt sorry for poor Honami, and of course it could all have been perfectly avoided if these weren't 16 year-old boys who probably think they know best but still --- there was something pathetic about Shouji and Terumi also that we don't feel in other works by the same author where the lying and cheating is absolutely gratuitous with no guilt whatsoever on the cheater's part. In Mukizu ja Irarenee however, these characters are so full of remorse and pain (and lust, always lust) that you either pull away from them at once or you stick to them until the end.

This is not to say their behaviour is at all excusable or that their motivation is always clear, which frankly it is not, but it's not so shallow a plot that you won't feel any sympathy and/or understanding for their actions. Overall I think it was a pretty decent read, with a couple of high-shining moments and interesting introspection. I don't think it was that predictable a plot either, and I thank sensei for doing this a reversible couple, which is heaven!

Should I say anything about the smut? If you're not familiar with this author's work, be aware of (very good) sex scenes every other couple of pages. One would think it is too much but it's really not. It makes up for the lack of clean and perfectly satisfying smut in most BL work out there. Ahah.

If you were in love with your best friend's lover, what would you do? The proper thing would probably be to wait it out and ignore it but these are guys we're talking about, they can do what we fujoshi cannot do, and that's why we love them!
I wanna say I liked this manga! The plot is shallow but it's good enough to be interesting from start to finish.
The infidelity part is complicated and did not turn me away from this manga.
Shouji got together with Honami not out of love but out of a twisted kind of friendship so it's moot to hate him for actually falling for someone else. It's true that Honami is in it for real and I feel bad for him too but let's say two guys are in a sex friendship... if they now go and fall in love with others, you cannot really blame them.
I liked the aspect of the manga that it's a complicated love triangle and I'll always true love over staying with someone just cause.
The characters acting understandable, they're in love with whom they cannot have and it causes a lot of suffering and pain.
I'm not a fan of infidelity but I can enjoy a good story that involved cheating as long as it's well written and this one is. After all, a lot of us read yaoi not just for the pure love but for the drama and heartache as well!

I really like the mangaka's sex scenes and her focus on things like an erection beneath clothing which is sometimes hinted but not often shown in yaoi (at least in the stuff I read), the intensity of feelings during sex and that she draws both partners with emotion in their faces!
Man, I cannot tell you how boring I find semes that show no trace of emotion while they have sex but it's oh so common in yaoi.
The general art is pretty good but again I notice I like the way one particular character looks much more than the others (here it's Shouji)... still, the mangaka has very nice skills especially when it comes to anatomy and smut scenes.
The smut is very frequent, you could probably count and within 8 pages of each other there'll be smut scenes again or something haha.

I enjoyed this manga a lot and I'd recommend it to anyone who looks for something a bit harder than the usual cutesy romance stories and anyone up for a lot of good sex scenes.

i really hate it it is not romance or anything just fuck.That two bastards say they can't leave cuz they re love each other but sorry it doesn't make sense.And about betraying i think author just not care victim's psychology so it is unrealistic.

author just find the solution and it is another guy who fuck his ex-lover Han.He just pity on Honami so he think he loves him.Author wants just happy ending so doesn't care Honami's feelings and the fourth of them got together.Geez what a lie.

If you really think you will read betrayal,love,psychology just skip it.You can find better series.But you just want bastard's fucking behind his best friend and lover you must read.It isn't sexy to me either.I really turn pages fastly cuz i can't take it anymore.

Not surprising from this author, there's a lot of cheating,

it made me feel sorry for poor Honami. Shouji and Terumi are such hypocrites they don't love Honami, if they did they wouldn't betray him like that >.> They are just taking the round about way and making things complicated, if they where more honest they would have figured things out a lot sooner. Couldn't Terumi just break up with Honami, instead of Shouji doing something like that -____- But at least Honami liked the guy o.o it worked out for the best I guess >.<

I loved this story. The two main guys are my favorites. Normally I'm not into reversible couples (I love the idea b/c that's how it ACTUALLY works I've been told, but usually the execution is often/always lacking on the author's part), but I adored that about this couple! It just worked so WELL!

I'm a sucker for an equal relationship (no weepy men or crying women, thanks), and that's exactly what this is.

The whole thing is awesome and just kind of beautiful to me. Normally this author's works are less on the plot and characters and more on the sex, but this story was wonderfully balanced! I would have read more if there had been more.

I'm use to mika-sensei's stuff to be tragic and violent but was actually one of her softer peieces and i truly enjoyed it. a DEFINITE favorite. you'll love and hate the characters throughout this rather moving story, one of those true love conquers all types. anyway if u love lusty steamy boys in love this is a great piece to read 🙂
