Virtus contains three stories, one of medium length and two shorter ones: 1oq6a
"Yushinvirtus (VirtusManliness)"
In ancient Rome, a trainee gladiator, Gaius, is raped by a champion gladiator, Crescens, and vows revenge for his humiliation. It is a story of the love, the hatred, and the destinies of these two enslaved gladiators.
"Setsugen-Byobyo (The vast snow field)"
During the Russo-Japanese War, a white-bearded lieutenant general and the leader of the mounted bandits make love to one another: a short, benign piece about a big, old bear and his boy.
"Darenimo-Ienai (I can't tell it to anybody)"
A hunky college student falls in love with his new step father, but his new dad is a bisexual, and starts to train his new son as his personal bottom, addressing him using a feminization of his name!
Note: The Long Lonely Night & Run My Horse, Run from Hige to Nikutai are sequels to The Vast Snow Field
1 Volume (Complete)

Virtus has been published in French, but the book contains only the first story (Crescens x Gaïus). The drawings are far softer than the ones we can see on Tagame-sensei's site. The story is fine, the drawings beautiful and, yes, more bara than yaoi. I don't know enough about Roman history to judge of the exactitude of details but I think that must be pretty accurate. I really enjoyed the manga though I'm usually rather in bishônen 😮 b. Recommended!
