Everytime I want to read something trashy, I entertain myself by reading Shinjo Mayu's works. I thought that "Love Celeb" is her worst work but this manga has totally changed my mind. This was downright horrible, painful and disgusting to read.
I mean, the guy's the WORST rapist in all of her stories! Am I supposed to accept him as a "romantic" lead? AS IF. This is absolutely SICK. I am not at all convinced by their "love" with each other!
What bothered me the most is that this bastard even have the balls to go to a proper church wedding and marry his victim. THE HELL?!
I rejoiced though when the mangaka killed him in the end! But I'm pretty sure that the female lead (whose IQ is lower than a rabbit) is probably gonna get raped by the rest of the mafia. That cycle never ends.

At first I thought it was okay. I mean it wasn't boring and stupid, but slowly it got really pathetic and disturbing. I can handle sex scenes... ONLY if it is out of love! I don't really like rape and in this manga there was a lot! I couldn't handle it and dropped it. I only got to like chapter 24 and I didn't want to read the whole thing because of how bad it was. If you like weak girls who get raped often then be my guest and read this but I warned you.
Typical Shinjo Mayu plot. Corny and overexagerated but somehow I read it anyway like I read all of her stuff (whyyyy? I cant tell if I like it or hate it! lol) She does try to get out of her typical plot a bit with the tragedy and the overuse of blood. Very smutty, even for shinjo mayu. If you dont like that then dont read it, if you do this will be full of it so go for it!
The 2 main characters fall in love instantly for pretty much no reason. And then they have way too many problems that dont even matter (and some that kinda do i guess lol) then they keep doubting each other and then saying they wont doubt. Hate then love. "im afraid of you and hate you" "now i love you and trust you" every other chapter is love/hate. its anoying. both the main characters are really really stupid. They both wont be honest with themselves or others, and dont tell each other about things that are really really important and would make all the difference. its way too overdramatic and the main girl expecially cant commit to a single decision to save her life.
also its one of those cliche everyone falls in love with the main girl and they all want her for some reason even though she has like no redeming qualities.
Yet I read it, twice. -_-
Readers here is the list on what to expect when you read any of Mayu Shinjo's manga including this one:
1. Weak female lead who gets rape by either the main lead or other guys.
2.Forceful male lead whose lust is way over the top to the point of raping the girl he claim to love.
3.There's absolutely no character growth for both leads. The only thing that will grow is their sexual relationship.
4. Repetitive scenes. Ex. Girl gets kidnap or abuse every chapter.
5.Cliche situations... Ex. Kidnap, amnesia, suicide, betrayal and many more. Kudos to Shinjo Mayu for her expertise!
6. Last but not the least most of her works have happy endings with the exception of course of haou airen. Kudos to her for killing the biggest bastard in this story.
Overall Shinjo Mayu's work can't be taken seriously so just treat it as if your reading a light hentai manga.
*The art was good so I gave this manga a #2 rating.

It took me a long (long...) time to read this because it seemed every time kurumi and hakuron's relationship got a bit “normal” someone would come along and screw it up but in the end I finally read it and even now I occasionally reread my favorite parts and think about it a bit. I cried a lot in this and will I actually like crying it got old sometimes. A little too sad.
But all in all I liked it in a very sadistic way. It did in fact live up to a TRUE tragedy even if the characters were pretty dumb in how the fell head over heals in love so quick but I mean IT IS a shinjo mayu manga. It is one of my favorite tragedies and a favorite of mayu's works.
I wouldn't recommend this for the faint of heart its sad and pretty much shuts your anticipation for a happy ending only to leave you thinking 'wtf just happened?' in the end.
I.....You don't know how many times I tried to read this and then turned it down..But I finally decides to give this manga another chance and I can't describe how...twisted and overwhelming this is, their were so many things that made me want to break my phone. The female lead pissed me of with calling the male lead a murderer for protecting her ! ..that's what made me stop when their relationship started going sour in chapter 15 but this time I continued and yes their relationship going downhill was really hard and frustrating to see but...I feel like the mangaka wasn't cheap in that way, she wasn't afraid to have a painful relationship portrayed.
I just...really don't know what to say about the end really ...I actually became attached to this manga, I absoluntely loved hankuron, but I can't help but feel like he was a fool for love in the end, (Plus he was 18 😮 ) I just........can't express this feeling into words...it was differently something new and tbh it was a good manga but some scenes where really disturbing and I can see why people don't like that(You should of seen my old review !!).Hankuron is who I truly feel happy for, the rest can Fuuuck of. I give it a rating of ten because I want to show but truly my rating is an 7.7 (I wonder if I gave this a chance because I'm now, limited with choice ...hmm..:L)f

Well, I'll own up to liking the story at the beginning. I was like, oh, this will be one of those cliche bad-guy-meets-good-girl-falls-in-love-changes-to-be-better-for-her stories that may or may not be a guilty pleasure of mine...
BUT, instead it goes twisted, and mentally scarring, and emotionally scarring, and lots-of-other scarring, and gah!
I CANNOT with a good conscience recommend this unless you have a much higher nausea tolerance than I have. Good luck to you all...
OK.. (raised eyebrows) So I have a few words to say. While I like the story, (I really do) there are some things that don't make any sense. If you love someone and knew what they were about FROM the beginning, why would you then in turn doubt them even when they try to prove to you otherwise. And how can love be so twisted! I know the path to true love is never (always) smooth, but come on!!
And what the hell is Fuuron's problem. I just don't understand him. And seriously Shinjo... Why would Hakuron do that. It makes no type of sense. Because that would obviously make his love more difficult smh
Love the series. Really do, but wtf dude?!!

I initially dislike it because of the main girl's personality. She's just so... weak, dependent, and all of those other annoying stereotypical shojo characteristics.
They don't really match... It's like a bunny and a lion together.. nuh uh. Also there's something to the drawing (def. the pigtails...) that makes me think pedophilia whenever I see the 2 together. Erg. Shudder.
The romance is good at the beginning then things started to go down hill cuz they don't follow the most important rule in a relationship: communication. Jeez...
The art is weird. I suppose there's nothing wrong with the faces, but the proportion of the body is a bit...off somehow. I don't know. Don't really like the art that much.
But the plot is complicated--totally dominated by the romance. Hmm.. how to explain it; like a double harem. A lot of girls like the main guy. A lot of guys like the main girl.
There's a lot of sex scene. I don't think it's that explicit cuz I have seen worse, but some may say it is. Everything from the waist down is covered by some bed sheets or another body. But the top (breasts) is often exposed, especially towards the middle til end. Mostly it just leaves things to imagination, even if it doesn't take a lot of that. So...yea. Just to warn you of that.
Despite being a gang-related manga, there's not a lot of blood. Not a lot of fights either.
one last complaint, I don't know about you but I think suicide for love is extremely stupid. also memory loss??? HAHA! that's too classic, it's not even funny. ...aaaannnndd the ending...ohhh hahha the ending pissed me off.
I guess I do enjoyed it to some extent. Maybe it's because of all the dramatic effects and the power of obsessive love (and not just from 1 person!!). haha. But it's far from being the best I have ever read.
If you've ever read a Shinjo Mayu then you already know what to expect, if you haven't then you either love it or hate it. The sex is always hot and that's why it's such a guilty pleasure for smut fans. On the other hand don't expect a strong female lead or a gallant male lead, that's never the case. Kurumi gets hurt a lot thoughout the story while Hakuron is your typical bad guy that falls in love. Also if you're a masochist, you'll probably cry at the ending.
