Okay, first of all, the term shounen-ai is very loosely used here. The two main characters have a purely platonic sibling relationship, and that's it. Maybe you could count the fan service and the background characters that belong to the other yaoi series the mangaka has. Second, I don't know if it's due to the translation or to the mangaka herself, but the story is quite confusing. Shiou's feeling are a mess throughout the series, and as we don't get a peek at his thoughts (like we do with Michiru), it's quite difficult to know what he's thinking and why he acts the way he does. Something else that bothers me is the relationship between the characters, I don't know if Kuroe and Kagetora are supposed to be Shiou's and Michiru's cousins or some other family or just strangers.
It took me a while to realize this because of how confusing the manga was, but basically, their dad was an asshole and used Michiru as a decoy to catch the bad guys. The author plays with the possibility of Michiru not being Shiou's real half brother, but at the last minute his mom seems to dispel this notion by saying that their dad is half wild cat (which would explain why Michiru is a wild cat and not a lion or lion mix), which is frankly really annoying, cause it shows lack of planning at the moment of writing the manga added to the general confusion throughout the story.
God, I've been reading them in the wrong order! Are you kidding me 😕 Oh well, time to start reading them right.
So in the end,
WHY WASN'T Michiru a werelion??? Did the father cheat? Is Hanae not his real mother? Actually, I that they referred to her as the adoptive mother. So who the hell is Michiru's mother????
And am I mistaken or something? Where is the romance in this story??? Is it Michiru and Shiou?Um, I feel disappointed as they didn't kiss! Or did they? Did I miss something here???
Really love this series as the art work is good at making the were-cats! Erm, that probably didn't make sense. I meant how the transition of half cat, half human doesn't look like it belongs to a horror and often looks adorable! I want more cat time! . . . Wait, I NEVER SAW THE TIGER CHANGE! NO!
This manga was soo awesome until the last volume. The characters were all likeable and I was on the edge of my seat waiting to find out why the 'CHIRO' organisation was so interested in the main character and whether it would turn out he was able to transform like the rest of his 'werecat' family.
I loved the love-hate relationship going on between the two main characters, though all the way through I was confused as to whether I was reading an incest-type story or whether it would turn out they weren't actually brothers.
The conclusion of all the drama building up through the first four volumes was extremely disappointing. Without spoiling it, things just don't turn out the way you think - and not in the 'good twist' sense.
The translation was awkward too so I wasn't quite sure what was going on. Also, why was there no actual shounen ai? There's a shounen ai tag but all you get is some blushing and skinship.
I'd say read it because it's entertaining and the art is nice, but don't get your hopes up.
I am debating whether to drop this or not. It is extremely confusing me.
It says that it is shonen ai but not incest, which is weird because the main characters are brothers, they have the same father, right?
I truly have no idea where it is going and as much as I like it, so far, there way too many holes in the story that are necessary for me to keep reading it.
If anyone would be kind enough to enlighten me, I would be truly grateful, because at this point I am ready to give up on this.
I love love love this story. It was light and fluffy. Not so much any more. It's killing me that all the other stories are updated but this one. I read her other were cats stories not making the connection that they were all related. Dont love that this is under a different pen name.
I bought the whole 4 volumes and I cant believe there's no more next volume 5...
I really hope the next volume will be out as soon as possible. I will be the first to buy it xDDD 🙂 I really LOVE this series alot 🙂 Really wonder what will happen in the end 🙂 ®
... But it's one of those series where, if you're only around 4 chapters in, you think you should read it some more before you commit to a 10, but it's so oh so good! and I love it! and so an 8 is out of the question but why exactly do you think it's a 10 and no no no, no thinking I just feel it's a 10 but asg a 10 requires a reason and the story is still too shiny for me to do anything but love it yet!
In short:
The feels! The lovely, lovely feels! With a dash each of awkwardness and miscommunication!

The Story is not really innovative the cat people Idea is a nice touch, but the first 3 chapters are kinda cliche. But that doesnt have to be bad, I really like it up till now. The art is lovely, and I have a weakness for the loving and affectionate type of seme. So if that all isnt a part of your hate-list, then go read it.
