One of the worst age gap mangas from new gen shoujos. Author fighting tooth and nail to defend a grown man dating her as a minor
Let me get into the points I hate about this:
fl is FIRST year high school student fresh out of middle school making her 15-16 y/o when the story starts, meanwhile supposed male lead is a grown ass man
ml fully knows fl is in a vulnerable position mentally from the very first few chapters after hearing about her family situation and still acts the way he does.
instead of being a reasonable adult many times the author reiterates the point that adults should be taking love confessions seriously from teenagers as their feelings are real despite age - this has me thinking has the author been abused as a child and so does not understand how disgusting that is as a mindset because in what world is it reasonable for a sane adult to reciprocate a love confession from a teenager. They need to be taking notes from pin in Kimi ni todoke and tanaka in ao haru ride as to what a normal adult does in this situation - HINT - kindly reject them and let them know it’s unacceptable for an adult to date a teenager then move on.
Ml acting like a pos getting jealous after rejecting her the first time, just odd behaviour
ml after all that starts dating her when shes still underage and in high school, mind you he has no romantic feelings for her but only dates for the sake of accepting her feelings are real. The adults around fl and mls life instead of being reasonable and telling him he should not be dating a minor, tell him he needs to be careful as society would judge them aka fully implying they this relationship and that society is the weird and judgemental one that would look down on them if they got caught.
only good thing so far is that the art is nice and there is a 2nd male lead who is her age. Hope it’s is a hirunaka no ryusei situation where she moves onto the guy her age.
Anyways to sum it this is genuinely an odd manga given the target audience is teenage girls. I can’t seperate fiction from reality from this one because the adults are genuinely so weird in this manga. This was only up to ch22 so if the manga changes it’s message I’ll change my mind on this
