One day, Yosugara, an antique shopkeeper, met the cute little girl Riu. However, Riu can't go very long between sleeping, and can't control when she falls asleep. Then the two come across a genie trapped in a lamp, and break the seals that bind him there. The genie, Lample, can make your wishes come true. However, in return, he requires the life force of the one making the wish. So Riu enters into a contract with Lample, but what is her wish!?
1 Volume (Complete)

I LOVED this manga! The art is beautiful.. and the bishies!! Omg.. gorgeous! I would definitely recommend this manga But it would be an even greater series if they'd make a sequel and continue where they left off.
The cover art totally reminded me of xxxHolic and of course the tit-for-tat wish rules can't help but remind one of Yūko's wish and payment of equal value system. Albeit xxxHolic showed the darker sides of be careful what you wish for...
So if you loved xxxHolic you'll probably love this.
I really liked every chapter I read. Good art and simple, but intersting plot. Hmm... It's not "XXxholic" or "Pet shop of Horrors", but it made me laugh, and I really want this story to be continued...
why isnt it longer?!!! i mean its only getting better!!!
that was just so good!! i mean all the stories...i mean it was somehow like a nicer, more bishounens and cuter version of jigoku shoujo...
i really, really like lample!!! hes just so cool when hes smokin!! and also yosugaru when he has glasses on and wearing chinese clothes and reading!!! wahhhh!!~ faints
lovely art 😀 LOVELY ART..... 😀 wowies i saw the cover and just fell in love with the art.....
IMO i loved the idea and the characters, and even tho there are quite a few complaints on the fluidity and completeness of this series, overall, it is very good 🙂 what an interesting "grant your wish for a price story" ....after reading this i have the urge to read xxxholic ....dunno why...
anyway please do read this series....its kinda like a long oneshot? short and sweet (well, more bittersweet?) but i thoroughly enjoyed it.
liked the art and the characters but it really didn't feel finished (as everyone else commented) : the story didn't flow as well as it could have (although it did have a common theme) ... and i felt that it could have gone on for at least 2 more volumes (the ending didn't feel like an ending at all).
Interesting story. However, I was left feeling as though the series had been axed or something.
I loved the art. After reading "Covered in Cinders" I had expected the art to be very dark and the bishies not as well drawn.
However, after reading this, my opinion's been changed. It's rather lighter than covered in cinders. It's a wonderfully sweet story. Still, there's something missing...
Beautiful artwork and character designs. Especially liked the rich black tones and detail used for Lample, the genie. Story starts out well but left me wanting more (not surprising given this is a single volume story), and as a whole, lacks fluidity. The ending seemed to suggest (IMO) that there could possibly be a sequel in light of what happens to two of the main characters, which would be great since I had many questions upon reading the last chapter...
In sum, a nice interesting story with lovely art/character designs that's worth reading if you're in the mood for something short and light.
