Rio is a 14-year-old boy with no particular special traits, except his burning love for books. He's awkward and considered odd at best by his peers. Rio also has a twin brother, Mao. Although they look alike, they couldn't be more different. Mao is good at everything, is popular, and has future plans to have a big, happy family. Despite their differences, the brothers are close.
One day, when Rio attempts to retrieve a cat that wandered into the street, he is hit by a car right in front of his brother's eyes. Everything fades to black. In the darkness, a voice offers a choice: to live or to die. Fading rapidly, Rio gives the obvious answer: to live!
Rio awakens in a world filled with foreigners and strange animals he's never seen before. That's not the only odd thing–Rio now has the form of a black cat! He quickly learns cats are revered in this world because of their special role as familiars of wizards.

Overall the story was nice but there are so many moments where you just want to hit the characters and ask why they're being SO FRIGGIN STUPID.....
It's good for a casual read and nothing more. Don't expect too much from reading this.
I honestly felt the author could have added more details in the story. Human world, beast world and magical world; all could have had a more in depth story.. idk I just felt it was too soon to say goodbye to a manga I would have loved to have followed over 100 chapters or something...
Like it was good. It's okay. Like alright. Whatever. I call bullshit. But whatever. Hishe would've had a field trip with this. Like what? So many easier ways to solve the problem.
It was interesting at first and I thought the premise was sort of cute, you know - boy gets saved, becomes a cat apprentice to a magician and all that jazz, but then there was so much random drama that I got confused and honestly the character decisions made me iffy. Like, I kind of wish there was some sort of foreshadowing instead of the mangaka just randomly throwing in a bunch of half-assed clues at the last moment.
I couldn't deal with the fact that people constantly waltz in the palace to try to kill the king and waltz back out. There is an interesting premise and plot, but it is implemented poorly
Well, a fantasy lover like me, I'd say this is a pretty good read. I finished reading it through the chinese scans and well, it qualifies to stay in my top five for at least a few months. Give it a shot, great read to past time.
Read only 3 chapters and it caught my attention. For 3 chapters, it had quickly started to build up the character, plot, etc. I has a lot of building to do, so please translate the next chapter. ToT
