Description

From Alpha Manga:Misumi Makoto was just a normal high-school student until the day he was summoned to another world because of an agreement his parents had made with a goddess. Except when he meets the only goddess in the world he's sent to, she insults him by calling him "extremely unattractive" and makes an arbitrary decision to banish him to a deserted wilderness. Makoto searches the desolate land to find other humans, but for some reason only finds creatures that are all nonhuman. Even the two pretty women who decide to follow him on his journey used to be a dragon and a giant spider. Along with two extremely eccentric characters (but really reliable in battles), so begins Makoto's unlucky adventure in the new world! A fantasy about a teenage boy who keeps getting hit by one problem after another! 2v6u3g

Isekai + OP MC + Slice of Life = Lazy
by LucyReading

A story with no plot. Nothing about being reincarnated affects the story in any way. And of course, they have to put in rice and find a place with Japanese culture

even smartphoneisekai trash provides more entertainment than this shit.
what ticked me most is all the characters acting like they are children, do havoc shit and yet never have to face any consequences

One of the Best Isekai with an OP Protagonist
by LazyReviewer

Rating: 8.0  / 10.0

This one starts with a twist, and it's actually a pretty good twist founded in the vain goddess' twisted personality. And better yet, her personality isn't cast into a bubble: it has affected the laws, societies and wars fought by the various peoples and races in the world she's supposed to protect, for both good and bad. It feels plausible and grounded.

Thus, when the MC manages to survive and aim to advance his goals within this new world, we often see the world as an extension of how messed up the goddess is. Even the replacement heroes, and what happens to them, is an extension of this.

So why am I emphasizing this so much? Because most things are layers deep in this way.

The MC is partially traumatized and insecure, all while trying to figure out how to exist. The monsters who him have depth to their personalities, as they genuinely want him to live well. But not everyone gets it right and bad things do happen.

Every character, from side ones to main ones, have their own personal motivations and reasons for doing things. Sometimes they're good reasons, sometimes not, but they exist and, like in reality, aren't perfect.

The biggest drawback so far is pacing: the story does suffer when the world building becomes too extensive as this slice of life section has been going on for a long time and all we're still seeing is connections being built.

Don't get me wrong, the slice of life part is solid—and I'm enjoying it—it's just not as entertaining as when the plot gets moving, and there's already so much ready to go.

And the politics on all sides of the war have their own complications, and that's not even mentioning a lot of the non-political motivations that are affecting the war, too.

As a result of all this, the world feels like a moving thing where stuff happens in the background.

It's definitely worth a look.

Edit: Slothal and LucyReading, the above reviewers, have not read more than a couple of chapters, and I can tell because they are objectively wrong on the following:

  • There is no reincarnation, it's a transfer. The details found in that scene become relevant to the future plot.
  • Finding Japanese culture means the isekai has affected the world (well, it does in this story, but saying any more gets into spoiler territory).
  • Consequences do happen later on (but not that much later on), ones that traumatize the MC and give him further character flaws.

Is it perfect? No. But there's not enjoying the story, there's disagreeing on the quality of the execution, and then there's making stuff up because one can't be bothered to pay attention when reading the first few chapters of something.

So many things wrong with this series be it manga or novel form that listing them all here would be impossible. 6 years of pure trash it pains me to see they even got an anime out of this.

It's quite good

Edit:it's getting a bit generic.
I might've preferred that the MC was actually a normal person (at the start they tell us his parents weren't from this world). As we're explained after he would've eventually gotten stronger (he has a way to increase his mana pool) quite fast.

But what I really liked is how realistic and erratic the MC is. I mean not that a average teen would do better in this setting (most would go a bit mad or depressed from leaving their environment). He doesn't either try to f*** any random being that tried to kill him on sight when they first met.

Also since his morals aren't developed wet he sometimes feels guilty and tries to help but ends up wreaking havoc.
(I really hope it doesn't turn into truly to impose his "superior morals" onto everyone like most -jap. novels)

I think this is the best isekai manga i have read till now. The story is very good. The character development is great too. I am in love with the character of 'MIO' she is the best character but others like misumi, tomoi and ema are good too.

So far so good

While it could be seen as the typical isekai story with an OP MC, I think it does a pretty good job at keeping things interesting. The only thing that bothers me is there’s no deep explanation about the MC’s power. But I think it’ll explain in later chapters. Also normally I’m not into romantic relationships with the MC but I wish there was at least something. Like there’s not even much romantic comedy cause those scenes just end so fast.
Despite this I really like it and wish it updated more frequently.

Somewhat good

Your typical isekai manga with the small twist that the goddess kinda screws him, still, he gets an awesome power from other god, is OP from the get-go and the curse of the goddess is soon circumvented. I like it how it started with him gaining non-human followers but soon it got to go into him dealing with humans and all I can say is it's becoming more and more generic, I would have preferred him as a hero of the non-humans or even neutral and not enemy of the demons but I don't think that's where the story is going. It's been a decent read but I recommend readers to not expect anything neither new nor particularly good about it.
As for the chars, the MC is not bad but a bit boring and he gets pulled into lots of situations thanks to Tomoe and Mio, which are by the way interesting chars, specially Tomoe, she looks dumb but isn't. The other heroes are kinda interesting too thou their story and chars have only barely been presented so far.
In short, it's too soon to tell, so far it's been a decent read and I can see it well as easily as I can imagine it going badly.

Edit (ch 75):
After some interesting parts about the other heroes and a war, the story has gone into a long strech of mostly slice-of-life chapters, there are eventually some relevant content but if the author keeps this much longer this will get boring fast, he seems to be taking his time to create some connections among many of the characters, which is welcome but he's taking it a bit to far imo with stuff like Mio learning cooking and such.
As a whole it's a mildly interesting story kept somewhat engaging mostly by Tomoe and the big amount of relevant cast, the MC is still somewhat bland thou.
