• Moment
Atsushi slowly recovers after being dumped by his ex-lover. His sister and brother-in-law, worried he's becoming a recluse, invite him out for a drink at their bar. While at the bar he is smitten by Kizaki, a beautiful college student. Before he approaches his crush, Atsushi gets a makeover from his sister (his fashion sense is deplorable). Things go much better than he expected. But, after their tryst, Atsushi has to work overtime for a week. When he finally makes it back to the bar, he sees Kizaki kissing someone else. Will Atsushi be forced to give up on his dream of love?
• Hana mo Arashi mo
The florist Nagasaki Kouta is 25 years old, but has the body of a child. He has known the 10 year younger Nagira Takerou since "Ta-kun" was a small child who always clung to him; but now the 15 year old boy always insults him and treats him harshly. What has happened to make Ta-kun dislike him so much?
• Mayonaka Taiyou (Midnight Sun)
Kakeru, Shouichi-san, and little Rurika are back in a sequel to Hohoemi no Nichijou. The unexpected visit of the sister of Shouichi's deceased wife convinces Kakeru that he's only a bother to the Konomi household. Will Shouichi (and Ruri) allow him to just leave their family?

1 Volume (Complete)

Too much rape, dont like it. Crappy rape plot that ends up wth a happy ending. Lazy storytelling.
The premise and setup of the first story is intriguing. The art is a bit rough, and not really to my liking but it works so I am fine with that.
BUT, what is up with the rest of the stories? Why, I mean, just why? Zero character development, consistency in of characterization, and the art doesn't improve either.
If there is one theme to which this manga stays true then it's smut. Everything else is just all over the place.
This is why I would prefer to rate each story separately. Over all this is a complete smutty disaster, not in a good way.
The first story I didn't like it much because it was confusing, so much so that I wonder if he died, it was also very vague ... The second also has another major weak point which is the same as the other stories, which I think is that the protagonist is very poorly developed but was more understandable than the first. Already in the third because of a disagreement among the protagonists he raped her the other.. The other two were more normal even if the latest got better.
Aww, the stories here are so cute. My favorite is probably chapter 2, though it's a little weird to see Akagi munching on that corpse. "Moment" is a little weird to me, but it might just be from how arrogant the seme acts when he's jealous. Taking off half a point because of his anger-rape. "Hana mo Arashi mo" also has a bit of anger-rape, but it fits that character much better (15 year olds don't think before they do anything).
I'm very pleased that Hinata got a continuation, since that story is so wonderful. Unfortunately, the scanners left out 6 pages that explain a few things. It's not a big omission, but it does make sense given some of the later dialogue.
Kakeru pulls the "but I'm a boy, and Ruri needs a mother" card. When Shouichi protests, he then asks why Shouichi ignored him after he returned from the omiai. Kakeru also says that when the sister in law came by the next day, it made him think that if it weren't for him hanging around, Shouichi could have accepted and moved on. Shouichi then corrects him, saying that the two are like cats and dogs and were never meant to be, especially since he's a "horrible man". There's the obligatory "you haven't told me you love me" scene, and Kakeru its that he's loved Shouichi from the beginning and still does. A couple pages of "play" later (with Kakeru acting rather shy), Shouichi reiterates that he's a horrible man, because he can't control himself when it comes to Kakeru.
The first story was really good, their love for each other was so clear and I liked the way Soichiro handled his second chance. I would've liked another chapter about this couple! 8/10.
The second one was quite good too, but I had one issue with this
I didn't like how Otsuji gave the demon the same name as his unrequited love.. I know when they first met Otsuji didn't have feelings for the demon Akagi, but I just felt sorry for him later on. I mean he was so happy (and a little bashful) when he was given a name, then later on he finds out that it's the same name as the other guy... that made my heart ache a bit 7/10
The third story was okay, relatively sweet though I don't like "love at first sight" plots. I can never really believe in the love in these types of stories so it was a shame. And Kizaki lets someone else kiss him just because they were drunk...? Why would anyone let someone do that...? Confused me a bit. 6/10
The fourth story, Hana mo Arashi mo, was definitely my favourite. The uke is older (Naono-sensei does it again!! <3) though he only looks about 10, while the seme is just 15 though looks at least 18... So it's like shota but isn't XD Haha. I'm not a fan of shota at all so the sex scenes in this weren't at all hot in my opinion, though they were sweet at times. This couple made me laugh a lot too, I loved Kouta's obliviousness even when Takerou's intentions were clear!! 8.5/10
Unlike most other reviewers I didn't particularly enjoy Midnight Sun (or Hinata actually) just because a lot of things bugged me about it...
First off in Hinata they got together just 8 months after Shouichi's wife died (seriously that seems way too quick, when he clearly loved his wife. I'm not saying he couldn't fall in love again, but it seems too fast) then in Midnight Sun (just another 8 months later) Shouichi goes to a marriage interview with his sister-in-law?! I'm a bit confused about all that. He says to Kakeru "We're not seeing each other seriously" when referring to his sister-in-law... doesn't that imply he had some sort of relationship with her? If so, then wth? He's dating Kakeru! And even if that isn't what he meant, even discussing the possibility about marrying your dead wife's sister is just wrong. 4/10.
To be honest I'm really shocked at myself for not liking this collection of oneshots very much, I'm actually a huge fan of Naono-sensei's plots and art usually! >_< But still I'd recommend at least the 1st and 4th stories to anyone who likes sensei's unique plots ^__^

Iku Michi, Yobu Tsuki stood out: It was unique. It is amazing how much 'omph' or power Naono-sensei can put into a one shot. The speed at which i felt for the 'devil' at the bottom of the lake was amazing.
A Bird in a Dream and Hana mo Arashi mo were worth the read, but unremarkable and ultimately forgettable. But definitely worth the read. I would rate them 'a fun distraction' on my scale of enjoyment of BL.
But my favourite by far was Midnight Sun (Mayonaka Taiyou) only because it gave me more of the characters that i fell in love with in the prequel story Hinata (in the *Hohoemi no Nichijou * collection.)
Go see my rating and review of Hinata here.
I changed my rating to 10 for the In The Sun/Midnight Sun series...Unbelievable good!

Naono...always a sucker for her work. 1) the opportunity for a second chance (decent). 2) the demon with a spicy personality was cute and funny. 3) cute nerdy guy finally finds love, really like this one. 4) only one I was iffy on... 5) Really like Hinata so I was happy to see a follow-up story, they are a cute couple and the baby girl is sooo funny!

I just got to read moment and I agree its amusing and cute! =D
But the collection also has its serious/touching times as seen in the first and fifth stories which teaches us to always value the one you love, and never take them for granted.
its been a while since i last read this series so I cant really recall the 2nd and 4th story, gomen will update if I ok? 🙂
description Moment: Atsushi, a computer specialist, or you could say he is nearly a nerd, got invited to his sister's bar. It's not really his world but when he meets the popular Kizaki he wants to be noticed by him too.
