Note: Vol 2 of the English release of Tasogare Outfocus.
2 Volumes (Complete)

I don't regret buying it, not one bit ! I love this manga as much as I love its prequel Tasogare Outfocus (which is one of my favorite BL).
Jyanome created a cast full of likeable and unique characters for Tasogare Outfocus and Ichikawa really stood out (probably more than the main characters, but I might be biased cause I love him so much lol). I wanted a spin-off for him and Jyanome delivered !
My review for Zanzou Slow Motion is highkey similar to my review for Tasogare Outfocus as the mangaka was consistent throughout the whole series which consist of Tasogare Outfocus, Tasogare Outfocus- Overlap and Zanzou Slow Motion (+ Yoiyoi Monologue but sadly there is no official translation or fantrad for this one) :
Even though the story is your typical enemy to lover BL, the mangaka has her own unique and singular way of telling this story through her narrative and visual qualities already seen in her previous works. The author juggles between comedy, melancholy and slice of life. Not only does she show the romance between Ichikawa and Jin, but also their personal development and their club activity. This is what allows this manga to stand out among the ocean of high school BL with enemy to lover trop.
One of my favorite thing with Jyanome is her characters. She gives all her side characters a unique and stylish design and a personality, that way you feel like they're all important and not just props, not some background characters only here to fill the space. Billy Balibally (the author of Fangs and Asa to Micha) does the same thing and I really like that cause that makes their stories more ... lively.
Same for her main characters, both Ichikawa and Jin were extremely charismatic, likeable and charming. I never thought I could love Ichikawa more than I did in Tasogare but here I am, simping for this lil drama queen ...The art style is SUBLIME - their posture, the way the mangaka drew their hair and the arrangements - it's really delicate and refined.
Finally the pacing was fluid, their relationship and character development evolved at a good pace.
I said a lot but that shows how much I love this manga, I'm happy it was licensed in my country and I'm now hoping for a translation for the spin-off Yoiyoi Monologue.
Mourning that this one was dropped. The original was so good, and seeing the first chapter in this spin-off has me certain it would be even better. I kind of half-hoped the dropping was due to a publisher officially picking it up, but there's no sign of that yet. 🙁
Too bad the scanlation group decided to drop this manga 🙁( I was really looking forward to it. Hopefully we can enjoy this story sometime in the near future.
