From Nekohana: 595hp
It all starts when Tomoe's hair gets caught in Kouga's button. As if by a red string of fate, they're tied together. Through a twist of that fate, Tomoe is forced to work in a house of prostitution lead by the yakuza, and who might be one of the yakuza heads, but Kouga.
Funny and dramatic, but more innocent than you think.
2 Volumes (Complete)

The plot is quite contrived and stupid, the main character has the emotional depth of a puddle, and it's really just bad. This manga has no redeeming qualities and to top it all off it's not even fully scanlated.
I agree with Molenir.
What happens in this manga is downright slavery, any human being has rights and (apparently legally) being able to sell someone because a direct family member has a debt is plain wrong.
What bothers me the most, besides the slavery bit, is that the female main is very meek and simply allows those things to happen to her. Her family just died, she lost her home, became a slave and is sold to a brothel and yet all she seems to care about is her virginity and being able to be with some bloke.
I couldn't enjoy this manga because of all that, even the attempts at some sort of humour were dreary.
Also the fact that both of the main characters are only 14 years old and have those kinds of 'jobs' is ridiculous (I understand there was a time this could have been normal... but in this day and age?). I'm aware that I may be overly serious about all this, but I believe there are some lines you just shouldn't cross.
If this took place in, say, the 17/18th century it would have been better, wouldn't have liked it, but still better.
One thing I learned from this manga though (after looking it up) was that the age of consent in Japan is apparently 13... which in my opinion is way to low and is practically criminal.

But in usual Mizuto fashion, it's sweet, funny, the characters are vivid and lovable, and the art has a certain beauty to it in its simplicity and expression. I really wish someone would finish this. It may seem innocent, but I think it does a pretty good job expressing the underlying sexual tension, particularly between the lead characters.
I can't really give it a pure rating since its not even finished scanlating...>.> But I have to say, since it's meant for the 10-14 yr old japanes age group, its pretty nice. Just dont expect to much drama since the main character is a stereotypical dumb as a door-knob girl >.>
Apparently in this world, if your family owes a debt, you can be sold as a prostitute. While there may have been a time, and indeed may still be places where this is the case, the theme is so idiotic and ludicrous that it makes what otherwise might be an interesting story, moronic and dumb.
There are lots of other better mangas, this one is not worth your time.

The plot of this manga revolves around the relationship between a Courtesan and the master of the brothel.
It's quite an interesting theme to look at..but somehow, this manga is too.....shoujo-ish and innocent for that theme. (I am AWARE that I shouldn't expect much Smut/tragedy/drama out of this manga since it is a SHOUJO-ROMANCE genre..
The character designs and the plot's kinda off with that Brothel+modern HIGHSCHOOL life..(the whole "hidden identity" msytery man (hero) saving a
Damsel in Distress who got sold off to prostitution is Killing Me!!...(in an ANNOYING kind of way)
Mademoiselle Butterfly manga is a better read than this.
