Whisked away into the novel The Forbidden Fruit of Isotta and the body of Regina Blois, our female protagonist has the advantage of knowing how her story unfolds - which is that she is to be murdered by Duke Arsene Graroy! Her death moves the story forward and sets up her good friend and protagonist Isotta in a love triangle with the Emperor and the Duke when she tries to uncover the truth behind Regina’s death. Not wanting to be murdered this time around, our new Regina keeps a low profile. She still manages to catch the eye of the Duke, but when he confronts her this time, it seems he's less interested in murdering her and more interested in... marrying her? 5u33m

It's too cliché even in the first chapter. Due to just different setting, the prevention of being seen was too good that it seems like they didn't think of too much plot about it. It seems that it was not thought about nor the first part just created to cover the hole of the whole story. The art is mediocre, I do like pastel colors and cleanliness. Characters were quite good enough. FL so far is not stick in a mud. It would interesting if there's a story that depicts the some sort of romance but it is a thriller, psychological, horror one. 😆
This story is so forgettable I managed to drop it twice 0-0
Like, Tapas released it recently, and I was "Okay, new story, let's give it a try"
Read it until chapter 18 and then decided to drop it, because I found the plot uninteresting.
Came to Baka to mark where I had stopped and list the comic as dropped... And then found out it was already listed as such, and I had read it until chapter 21!
This is the first time this happened.
I didn't feel even a silver of nostalgia!
Thus, I conclude... This series is just too forgettable.

I really don't appreciate how she was so scared she was running and doing her best to avoid him and then he shows up and she's like okay I guess I can't run any more I'll marry him. Also after all their trials and tribulations it's implied that they truly love each other deeply and truly and have an amazing relationship and then end up having only one child. It's illogical. They were rich, gorgeous and had nannies to help with the kids, they should have had least 3. At least.
Ah, this one has quite dissapointed me. It started kind of promising, but then it just turns into a overtly stretched, not very thrilling, weird slice of life, and ends up a low budget fantasy story with evil sorceress and secret saintesses... On the bright side, Regina was a refreshingly normal character, one not seen in manhwas everyday - she's not particularly smart, nor capable, nor anything outstanding (except for her role as a saintess, but heck that was written very badly). What did irk me is that so many men fell for her, I personally don't see it, but she was so mediocre I liked it! Arsene, the ML, was actually okay as a yandere lead. While not top tier, he was firmly mid tier, and the only really yummy part of this manhwa is his early relationship with Regina, when she wasn't sure if he wants to kill her or make love to her! This turns into a mushy romance later that didn't impress me, but that early staged were intriguing and actually hooked me up on the manhwa.
But stuff go south pretty soon, and this turns into a most boring, non-inventive fantasy cliche manhwa. Barely finished it. The art was okay, at least that.
Overall, not a recommendation. This loses (what little it had) steam by chapter 50 and is just completely boring. If I had to rewrite this, I would have made Arsene so much more of a grey character, and focus more on him and his work as the Emperor's dog, and just ditch the main antagonist completely, or use her in a different way. But heck, what he have is a clean, wholesome but utterly uninteresting isekai. Better luck next time!
Couldn't why I marked this as dropped so leaving a comment. I think the art was enough of a turn-off where I wouldn't have minded much at all if the story was good, but given that the story and characters were also so bland the art was then the deciding factor in me just dropping it bc it just wasn't enjoyable to read.
the premise hooked me and I liked the first season. second season was a bit slow for me, tho it has it excitement...just little. i just like the idea of FL trying to run away from ML. conflicts are not that grave, in my opinion. it's a fair read.
Slow progression on the leads' relationship. I'm not sure if everything's an act or if I should be feeling butterflies. No particular attachment to any of the characters.
It's not as bad as comments on some sites say but its not all that great either. (I read it because I was curious about some comments I saw but a number of commenters were actually just confused because they'd forgotten some minor plot details.)
The FL is a touch obsessed with the OG plot but she's not as bad as other FLs I've read. The major problems I have with this series is the art and bad plot mechanics. The art isn't bad but that's actually a problem in a few places. For example, generic henchmen are usually drawn to look very, well, generic. But in this story, they were drawn a little too detailed so for the first few chapters I was convinced there was a double agent because the good guy's aide/assistant/whatever and the evil side's henchmen looked too similar and the detail made it seem intentional. This problem feeds off of and adds to the issues with the plot.
I'm only at Ch. 29 and we've already had several instances of "Oh no! The evidence/captured enemy/leads have all somehow disappeared/gotten away! Looks like we'll just have to continue this story with no real progress being made at all!" Can you blame me for assuming there was a double agent going around sabotaging things? Maybe my standards are too high but I just assumed a duke would have competent guards.
Overall, its still too early for me to say whether or not I'd reccommend the story but if you are going to read it, I reccommend binge reading it in chunks so you don't get tripped up on the details.
Reminders for those reading(spoilers for up to ch. 29):
1. OG Regina was not killed for witnessing the murder but for witnessing the murder and then trying to blackmail the OG Duke over it for her own gain. OG Regina was very different from Isekai'd Regina and we don't know what she tried manipulating the Duke about/for.
Yes, OG Isotta investigated her best friend's murder only to get caught in a love triangle between the murderer (the Duke) and the one who orders the murders (the Emperor). However, we don't know when/if Isotta finds out that the Duke did the murder.
It is said that Isotta does order the Duke to kill himself sooo maybe she is a good friend??/secret badass manipulater??
Confused about a plot line that you thought had been resolved? Assume the enemy somehow escaped custody because they probably did.
