I am gently surprised and impressed with the mangaka’s mix-up of body types, personalities and roles in this little ditty.
Yoshino and Kuga are an interesting pair that gel with their sharp dynamic of opposites. Their personalities are alive and real; I felt immediately connected with them both. The artwork is slightly edgy, with round lines and shapes mixed with sharp lines and shapes that make for an interesting overall page appearance. (Lovely, clean scans, by the by!) Expressions and scenes are delivered with punch (pun intended). There is a nice squirt of humour in here too.

Wow, this really has some low ratings, but I think it's hot! Yeah, the art is so-so, but for a oneshot, it's cute. A calm, collected seme and a tsundere yankee sort of uke. It's classic, really. What's not to like?
