This series started with beautiful art with an interesting and unique story that flowed well in its adapted form. After season one, it seems the artist may have changed. In addition to that, the art style changed to black and white. Sadly, this just sucked the life out of the story for me. Not only did it lose depth because of that change, but the flow and structure became clunky and difficult to follow. Fantasy stories have to be adapted well to avoid being cringey. It’s disappointing because they had a good thing going and lost it once they overhauled with unecessary structural changes.
