Chikao is a gentle soul who has the bad luck of falling in love with Yuuji, a playboy and cheat. Can his love withstand the heartache or will Yuuji go too far? 5c5r6f
4 Chapters (Complete)

And, after rereading it in 2024 — that tag is well earned. It's a story about a doormat who's so pathetic that he's satisfied with scraps of affection...and it's really boring. The entire point of Chikao, who doesn't exist outside of Yuuji, is that he suffers because he's in love with a serial cheater. That's it. It's a woe-is-me, "I can't help loving you, we're both so toxic" cliché. Neither Chikao nor Yuuji have any redeeming qualities, and Gou is just there as the obligatory third wheel.
The ending is more wishy-washy bullshit, with Yuuji being upset for awhile that his thing left, then randomly getting appendicitis and Chikao going back to him, right in front of his new boyfriend. Yuuji doesn't have to apologize or reflect on anything, and he's still an asshole to Chikao at the end — but it's fine, because Chikao likes it. Slap on some "is this going to last?" 2deep4me, and there you have it.
I don't recommend this manga at all. Not for the story, not for the art (which is among the worst I've ever seen), not for the characters.
Y the h did the uke put up with the seme?!? Gou was really kind and I wanted him to end up with Gou dangit. Gonna be frank here, but the one shots that the mangaka wrote were wayyyy better than this 4-chap story. Just sayin'
This is probably one of the not-so-good works by sensei. AND SHE USUALLY WRITE GREAT ONES!!!!
I can't believe this manga, nor the high ratings, nor how this is the same mangaka as Cafe Latte Raphsody... It's one of the worst manga I've ever read. I'm putting it on my "Trash that I regret reading" list without looking back and rating it as 1.0 because It can't be lower. Don't bother reading this.
I hate that bastard seme and that super pathetic uke.
Usually, in a love-triangle I always go for the main couple. But not this one. Totally not this one.
I really wanted the uke to end up Gou. The story was solved in not a believable way.
But I liked the uke at first.
But after he left Gou just because that seme's not feeling well, I end up hating him. ARGH! I HATE THEM SO BAD! What's with that?! They even become lovey-dovey RIGHT in front of GOU. I feel so sorry for him! I even cried when he was just left out just LIKE that.
I REAAAAALLY LOVE GOU. He's such a nice guy.
Initially I thought ithis was pretty lame, but eventually the uke stood up for himself and the ables turned around. Certainly not one of the best yaoi that I've read, but it did made my heart squeezed during the critical scenes.
The seme is plain bad. There is nothing I can say to defend him. The uke is pathetic. I hated it.
Their relationship started in the most horrible way: The seme JUST wanna try out gay sex. Afterwards, he still has different women. He asked the uke to pick him up after sex and had sex with him afterwards. GROSS.
Chika is also pathetic. At first, I dont like him for being so stupid but I feel sympathy for him. I was so glad that he broke up with Yuuji. But when he used Gou as a rebound partner and dumped him in front of everyone without any real apology. I start to dislike him, too. A jerk and an idiot match well. The way they reconciled is also the worst. He was about to go off with some woman in front of Chika like usual then he had a stomachache. Chika left Gou to care for him. Weird. Its OK to care for him as a friend when hes sick but no more than that. And Yuuji did not has some psychological pain because of missing Chika, he is in real pain because of appendicitis. Otherwise, he would just have sex with some woman again
I love the mangaka's other works but this is the worst. Will never read it again.
I know how people say Yuuji is an ass and that nobody would be with a man like that but...
that's how it is... people let themselves be treated badly and abused all the time!
I'm sure a lot of us know what that feels like, loving someone so much you're willing to overlook and ignore things you shouldn't, and forgiving your partner horrible things...just because you love them.
It happens, everywhere, all the time.
Is that good? No, people who cheat and abuse their partners shouldn't be forgiven, but that doesn't change the fact that it happens, still. Not every human out there has the strength, courage and willpower to just break up with the person they love so a lot of us will accept being hurt.
Chika didn't just put up with it forever, after a year he's had enough and he breaks it off anyway!
Of course I also don't like Yuuji, and he's a total jerk for acting the way he did.
Chika deserved better and would have fit better with Gou, and Gou also didn't deserve to be left alone again... but come on, going for the bad guy is a thing women just do! And why shouldn't men?
Everyone dreams of catching a bad guy and converting him to be nice to you... and in the end, Chika got that, too.
At least the way it looks like, I think Yuuji turned around and became a better person, loving and appreciating Chika and not cheating anymore, and as long as that is the case, I'm happy with the way it turned out.
Now if he went and cheated again...it would be a different story and I'd have to shake my head at Chika for getting back together...
I'll recommend this to anyone! Especially people who like a dramatic plot and a bad boy turning good!
I love this one! I read it again and again. Definitely a good read. Everyone says
Chikao is an idiot, but I feel they fail to see that in the end, Yuuji does change. They say he was a jerk, but he didn't know he was. He didn't realize he was in love with Chikao. Once he realized it, he treated him better. I guess you can say the theme is ' love conquers all.'
Either way, it's a good plot, good art and interesting characters. I recommend it to anyone who likes an angst-filled love.
i was raised to think that abusive relationship is a no go and should be condemned and avoided at all cost. it had always befuddle me why would anyone stay in such a relationship. thus this manga (and others of its ilk) is interesting to show me some people are not victim of unhealthy relationship, they are also the instigator who let their heart do their decision, not their head. if they truly love themselves they will go out of such relationship, but they dont.
since i know the statistic of abusive relationship is high, it is not weird for me the ending is like that. as a storytelling device this manga is good, but as a positive message device this manga is not. which is not its job anyway, so it is okay. having devoured a lot of manga, these kind of characters do not faze me any longer. my only problem with this manga is the uber simplistic art and the stilted facial expression and movement. the characters have the same facial structure and only the hairs are different.
all in all, i dont think it is a bad manga, and if you want to experience characters and relationship that out of ideal, this is okay.
There are many reviews for this manga, but here comes another one. I've read this manga countless times and i enjoy it every time because it completely sucks me into the plot. It not only made me experience the ukes emotions but also the semes so you really get both sides of the spectrum. It really shows how love can be unpredicatable and could catch you out at times and that is why this manga is amazing. I loved it but i wish there was a story for Gou because it was sad to leave him like that ^_^
