After that incident, her father became protective and would only allow her to go from the house to the plum tree she loved. However, she would be allowed to venture into the village on the day of the new moon. One such day she meets a exorcist that warns her of a man dressed in black. Will she take this warning to heart? Or is it already too late...?

I had read it a long time ago before rereading it in 2024. I wonder if the Friendship Scans missed some pages as it is a really old manhwa. I loved this masterpiece so much that I ed well that there used to be a part explaining why Miho said that she had saved Ki hyun.
Before becoming a ghost, Kihyun was an ordinary man. His father was a popular doll maker, but his wife left him because he crazily obsessed about his dolls. (The family often saw him surrounded by his harem dolls.) Kihyun stayed with his dad and obviously inherited doll craftsmanship. However, Kihyun didn’t agree with his father’s obsession and said that it was so stupid to love dolls. One day, his dad died. And one day, a fox demon called Miho came, she told Kihyun that she needed a haven to escape from her ex boyfriend. She was 1000ys old and wanted to find a man that could live with her without sex in 100 days to complete her fox jewel. Unfortunately, there was no one ed the challenge, as men desired sex and she even ended up suffering from a bad guy (at that time she was just a weak demon). Kihyun allowed her to stay in his house while she continued seeking her new partner. Actually, they winded up being a fake couple in order to complete the fox jewel because Kihyun had no interest in women. There were times that Kihyun protected Miho from her ex so she started falling for him.
Meanwhile, Kihyun was still finding the one for him as he couldn’t see someone that could meet up his standard. And then, you know, somebody gave him suggestion that making a doll himself that could suit his demand best. Moreover, he found an abandoned wood in the corner of nowhere. It was said that it was a precious material but it looked cursed, so no one took it. Kihyun brought it home, to make his doll. Miho warned him to be careful about what he brought home.
Kihyun worked for many days to create his doll. One day, when it came to the 99th day staying with Miho, Miho saw that Kihyun kissed the doll. Getting angry and envious, Miho yelled, “I know it, it is such a curse that has enchanted you”. But Kihyun covered the doll, and undoubtedly took all the attacks. He gradually died of losing blood, leaving his last words, “Miho, you are so bad at choosing man, i can not fulfill your wish to complete the jewel. I’m sorry.” Miho, of course, was so regretful of what she did. She asked Kihyun if he wanted to live. He answered, “it’s just that I haven’t still completed my doll yet”. Miho gave her jewel to him, making him swallow it and then he became a ghost. Miho, however, lost the chance to be a stronger fox demon forever.
I don’t know if my memory serves me right. But that’s all I can . If there are any people reading the full original version finding that my story has some mistake, please let us know. Many thanks. I really long for reading the full one as this shoujo manhwa is such a masterpiece.
I didn’t really understand it. Maybe it frustrated me and I didn’t put enough effort when I was reading it. Sometimes, some characters looked the same or I couldn’t figure out who they were.
Maybe I'm spoiled these days with webtoons and the overall artistic bar that's been set, but it's been 6 years since I last read this (chapter 9), and I find the art to be very detailed but messy at the same time. I don't know where to focus and I feel like if I zero in on one part, I miss out the detailing on the others. It's an overwhelming feeling.
The plot itself was SO UNSATISFYING, but I had to finish what I started so long ago. So many plot holes. I don't recommend 🙁.

I like the story so far. Just find it a bit all over the place and choppy l. Attention to the details would be nice. artistry wicked.
a girl wakes up next to a tree to a time when she can go out because she disappeared before. She shortly finds out something is up. Then with people starting to find out there is something up with her. She finds out that she is really a doll and the owner is a powerful ghost from a tree that got the power from the 9 tailed fox goddess. And now her "God"? Wants her back too. And there is something up with her I'm not sure about. Then she is kidnapped back to the house of her "parents" even though she is not their real daughter... Something is up.and the boy that took her away before is back as a man and wants her. Somehow he made a bet the first time with the ghost that he would get her before she is taken away or something like that.

The art and story match up very well, especially since the story is set in a historical time period. The manhwa is amazing and I would recommend it to a friend. The characters aren't the typical shoujo ones and I like the sad mood of it.
I hope this gets license 🙂 I own vol 1-3 so far. I plan to buy the others. Love the story, I was searching for a story that was mysterious romance people and story and this was perfect! Artwork is amazing.
I've read a lot of posts and comment on this series and all the people talks about is the art.
"Art is so beautiful." "The art is so unique." "The most beautiful art." BLAHBLAHBLAH.
Yes, indeed, it is masterfully drawn, brilliant, spectacular; but let's turn our attention from the art now, shall we?
The story itself is good and beautiful. People just don't realize it. Let's get it clear, it's kind of obvious she's the doll right? RIGHT? Moving on. I've read a few series where they had dolls coming to life, becoming human etc. but this is the rare case where she isn't some tiny doll that grows or changes through the power of love.... or a kiss. No, Woo-Hee thinks, talks, and moves like a human on her own and according to chapter 1, there's a strange mystery that surrounds her we have yet to fully understand it. The characters aren't extremely unique but they still have a bit of their own charm. A mysterious man suddenly appears, is he the ghost? Probably... right? And it said the doll (Woo-Hee) was taken away, but in Woo-Hee's version, she was found by people after being 'kidnapped' her mother went insane saying that Woo-Hee wasn't her daughter so exactly who was Woo-Hee before she got kidnapped? DUN DUN DUNNN, gang, it looks like we got a mystery on our hands! And an interesting one too! Anyways... with the chapters out right now but what I'm trying to say is..
Divert your attention from the art for just a SECOND and actually READ it. It may be confusing now because there's only 2 chapters but if you actually read it, you'll understand that it's not just the art that's good, the story is very interesting, well so far that is. I think I'll continue looking forward to this one.
