Not what is expected but still pretty good

At first i was angry at Kiji cause of his psychopath behavior towards Ogeha and i thought the story would get darker, but it didn't (i was hoping she would eat him XD HAHA)
As the author said at the end "People tend to judge characters that don't easily show emotions" Kiji like any other kid, self-centered and thinks bugs are disgusting. He didn't see Ogeha as anything more than a bug or mere entertainment, he has no knowledge do bugs eat but he also didn't care enough to found out, until he saw it was affecting her. He starts to care for her after spending enough time besides her. Ogeha is a newborn alien so obviously she is going to develop attachment towards him.
i thought the caterpillars were funny on their journy to find ogeha, it did make me uncomfortable when they wanted her to breed and the fact that she actually did, but that is just common sense for nonhuman beings.
I didn't find a lot of sense on the recovery of her wings , it wasn't explained, they looked pretty damaged and adding the fact that her diet seemed unhealthy it looked like the cliché power of friendship stuff XD.
I also didn't like the hint of romantic feelings towards Kiji, i'm just going to pretend it will forever remain as friendship.

Well, what can I say...

This will be my first comment, because its the first time I feel like I have to write something.

So first of I hate the abusive acts from the MC and those fucking homeless killers, also I hate these shitty carterpillars and the whole breeding scene.
Oh, almost forgot the scene with the fat creepy guy and the fact that afterwards Miki was almost forgotten.

But then again, I somehow can't hate the entire work. I don't know why I even give a 7.
Especially the end was, in a way, satisfying. Even with so many questions open.

I think that a lot of people are missing the point of why the main character treats Ogeha the way he does. She is first and foremost a bug it's the same way a young boy would treat a butterfly. That's what makes this story interesting and for some hard to swallow. My only gripe is the cut off ending. There's a lot left to be answered but it was a good read none the less.

at the start of reading this my initial thoughts where "wow i want to beat the living shit out of this guy.". After finishing it..... I still think hes a dick but maybe there's a little more to it than that. The mc is clearly emotionally detached from everything so when he initially finds her all he sees is a large interesting bug. He's also never intentionally cruel to her even hes words seem to be more factual rather than to be cruel to her. I mean yes he starts off keeping her in a cardboard box but to him she was literally a big bug/butterfly and being as emotionally detached as he was that's all he could see at the start. Over time you can see him developing an attachment to her even though he really doesn't show it at all in his expressions, you can tell through his actions that he does care about her.

Every time the fracking mc called ogeha "ugly" "disgusting" or my personal fave>>"filthy" w his super sunshine/smiley face, i'd BURST OUT laughing! XD It was just so BIZARRE..! (laughs hysterically)

Anyway, we have 2 this is a HORROR/SCI-FI manga so it's not going to be a "totes kawaii butterfly" story. No, there will be BLOOD..O_O jk no but really... o _ o

SIDE THOUGHT: what is it with japan & the whole "bullying the homeless" fiasco? This is like the 2nd manga where i've witnessed highschool/college guys nearly KILL a hobo just for the hell of it.. i mean i GET. IT. y'know? But do they really have to stoop that low?? Like is there nothing better to do? It just baffles me & i hope they dont do this IRL.. its tragic

Grotesque and Potentially Heartbreaking

I read a few chapters of this and realized it could be summed up as said in the title of this review. There is a bunch of cruelty to a helpless creature coming down the pike in this story. She is sufficiently weird-looking to naturally tend to amp up the cruelty in a naturally mean character, such as the boy who has her in his power seems to be.

No way!

Premise is pretty usual for such genre - boy meets clueless alien girl, they start living together. The difference is boy being abusive, harassing, uncaring and almost psychopathic, and seeing her as a weird pet, while girl develops a Stockholm syndrome for him. And so their relationship develops.
Ogeha is adorable, her captor is interesting to observe. What evil person would do of ill will he does without even realizing it was morally questionable, he just got himself an ugly pet that talks after all.
Definitely recommended for those tired of your usual romance/friendship manga.
