I wanted to keep this short but I need to relieve this headache somehow.

Colorful cover and pretty art aside, this manga is creepy, dumb, and nonsensical. The gist of it is that Chino calls out Kouhei for following a woman, Kouhei apologizes and says it's all a misunderstanding, Chino believes him...and ends up being the new target of Kouhei's stalking. Not that bad so far, but what makes the manga irredeemable for me is how Chino, a street-smart former delinquent, is kept as dumb as possible so that the plot can continue.

Take your pick of the batshit things Kouhei does, that would make me run for the hills: breaking into Chino's apartment, pouring coffee on his bed (while Chino is laying on it) in a fit of jealousy, pinning Chino down on the bed, trying to force a kiss on him, popping up randomly closer and closer to Chino's house and ing it off as coincidence, having the most obvious deranged stalker stare in the universe. And what's Chino's reaction when Gotou, his friend and source of common sense, rightfully calls Kouhei a stalker and warns Chino to be careful? "He's an EX-stalker, he's fine, he's harmless, he can't have done that". Because Kouhei feeds him sweets.

Now imagine me doing the biggest side-eye in the world. Like in the meme with the monkey puppet.

Example of affront against common sense: "wow, I wonder why this guy, who was accused of stalking just days before (which I personally witnessed), is kissing my foot now, and yesterday pushed me down and tried to kiss me. And why does his room somehow look identical to mine? And why does he know my name and address despite no one telling him about it? Who knows? Not me! It's fine, he's just a bit strange!"

And there's more dumb crap

with the woman Kouhei was accused of stalking. Chino thinks that she's Kouhei's ex and yells at her to be THANKFUL that Kouhei is so obsessive and creepy because it means he cares about her. Because Chino is jealous of her...right after Chino himself called Kouhei disgusting and told him to piss off (atta boy, but of course it doesn't last — common sense has no power here). But hey, it's OK — because it turns out that she's just some random woman who'd lost her pouch, which Kouhei picked up, and Kouhei would rather've been called a stalker because he was shy that the pouch had tampons in it.

Are you as confused as I am? Good, because there's more! When Chino's friends (one of whom is a police officer!) tell him that "hey, bro, dude, hermano, we didn't give him your name or address, this asshole's stalking you for real!", Chino decides he's in love with Kouhei and rushes to his apartment, banging on his door to tell him that he actually was happy being stalked. Which ends up being for naught, because Kouhei was actually at Chino's house, hiding under his bed for half a day.

[Chino:] "I wish you also liked me [how I think you liked that girl that wasn't actually your ex]" - my brother in Christ, he licked your foot. This is giving me the willies again.

You know what...in the end, both of them are weird as hell and deserve each other. Best writing ever.

As someone who came to like the stalker trope, this one was just not it for me. I believe it's because the stalker is too obsessed and has no sense of distance at all. And that scene of him under the bed...you will see me jumping out the window in a second. It's a mystery how they came to like each other that much.

i think this story probably needs a trigger warning but i thought it was fine. of course it's unhealthy but i don't think all fictional relationships have to be healthy. i think this was a comical, "lighter" take on the stalker trope so it was interesting at least. i think people who are triggered by the concept of a stalker should stay far away from this manga, however.

i think it toes the line between simply portraying an unhealthy dynamic and glorifying it, but in the end it's just a yaoi. i prefer a story like this over the rampant rape/assault that's in this genre, so yeah.

i did really enjoy the MC. i thought his characterization was interesting and unusual for a BL MC. I even liked the stalker, too.... but I think the author should have went a little further with him. he's entertaining but doesn't really have any traits besides being a happy go lucky stalker. all in all, it was enjoyable but not the best.

I don´t even know where to start with this manga.
First of, what the.... how? Why? and mostly WHY?

I get that the seme is a yandere and an obsessive stalker but what the. I swear, the uke should of have listend to his best friend (who is a police man) and his co-worker that the seme is DANGEROUS! BUT the uke just brushes it off as to not make a ruckus out of it.
And a question that just left me hanging while reading it. HOW in the world did the uke even fall in love with the seme. His behaviour was always unjustified.
I seriously don´t know if I missed some chapter's where it was explained how the uke fell in love but I couldn´t read it anymore. It was way to much of a bull story that I had to just drop it.
I seriously just felt shi*ty reading it.

Sorry but to everybody that either liked the story or the seme, please get some therapeutic help. You really need it.
And here I even thought it could be a cute story. Well, not for me.

im curious how yamada debut as stalker? i just want to know what and why he stalk the uke lol, and so deep inside Yamada is yandere ಠ_ಠ i want to see yamada put chain in the uke lol, but with uke behavior that will never happen, and this manga its funny i love it

What is this, a normalisation of stalking and the usual 'it's all fine bc it was done in the holy name of love!!' bullshit? This manga obviously tries very hard to paint stalkers' behaviours in a positive light and to push for the whole 'oh they're just harmless bc they mean well!' narrative, and fails miserably at that.

I know, I know, I'm not supposed to take a light-hearted BL manga seriously, but if the mangaka wanted to keep it PG and 'fluffy' she had better stick to that theme and not take on serious issues with such a disrespectfully shallow approach. Romanticising and trying to crack jokes out of criminal offences in this manner is not the way to make it relatable and palatable for readers and most certainly reduces her work's credibility greatly. There are plenty of manga titles out there dealing with the same premise that actually move their audience to understand their characters' motives and actions however bizarre and abnormal they could be; sadly this isn't one of them.

Besides, even without the creepiness tackled on, the story is still painfully bland and generic for a rom-com. No character has any charms, which isn't really a surprise considering how cookie-cutter and stereotypical they are, but what kills the most is the fact that this manga is so tragically unromantic, like how and when the heck did these characters even fall in love?! Make some room for some development at least; you had a whole volume to do that!

so pure, god damn it! I was expecting more and something dirty if you know what I mean but whatever, yamada is a freaking yandere and now I love him.

I kinda like stalker stories. This one falls a bit into the "okay"-category, but it did have the potential to be really great. Not everything was always predictable, like manga has a tendency to be. I also really liked the way the main character handled having a stalker. By the end though, it lost too much touch with reality so to me it stopped being very interesting, but to anyone who would like to read a light hearted and easy stalker story this is it.
